Idk why but his demeanor always reminds me a lot of Oscar Piastri in F1. Great talent doesn’t show a lot of emotion very mature for his age and composed
@@ambientexpanse Yeah he played his heart out and got demolished. That happens to 99% of players who face Sinner and play their heart out. Can you logic?
These highlights don't do justice to Gasquet; it is obvious that he is less strong than Sinner, but in this match he was a real fighter, he didn't spare himself, he played the first set very well and even afterwards he gave everything he had, he even sustained long rallies, he played with a lot of concentration. He lost, it was inevitable against the world number 1, but honour to the French tennis player for his fighting spirit. It was not a boring match, on the contrary! What a monster. I was watching the match - what separates Sinner from the rest (apart from all around qualities) is the crazy passing shots he's able to make. With that in mind, he reminds me of the Big 3. I don't see many current players producing such shots on a constant base. Sinner is my favorite! Hopefully he stays injury free for most of his career. He'll win many, many titles.
@CoolAce1-dv1pn your wrong there. Gasquet was a definite top 30 talent but sinner has that special sauce that only comes around so often. I don't want to include him or alcaraz with the golden trio since they are early in there careers but that's where I could forsee one or both of them being. Gasquet in his prime was nowhere near the type of performances sinner has out out the past year or so.
Federer was also elite on clay it’s just that Nadal was better. Everyone reasonable knows Sinner is great on clay like Federer but they are just skeptical if he can be number one on clay over Alcaraz in the future.
@@ticovogthave to agree with your analysis, his larger frame allows him to reach impossible balls without sprinting as much as Nadal or Alcaraz and then he uses his wrist in a fantastic way to hit back very deep balls which allows him to put himself in a good position to let his power finish the job faster than Djokovic.
Really hopes Sinner becomes World number 1 by the end of this tournament. Truly deserves it. He's grown and matured so impressively the last few months.
From what I read, he is already pretty close. If Sinner wins one more match, Novak would need to reach the finals I believe to keep his throne. If Sinner makes the semis, Novak would have to win it. And if Sinner reaches the final, Novak could even win it, and Sinner would still become number 1.
First point shown is the first set point, really? Not posting highlights for lots of good matches either. Whoever is handling the social media is clueless.
man oh man, there were many shots which can easily be won in other matches by Gasquet, but it is just not enough to beat Sinner. Sinner can easily return winners and even counter those effortlessly. Like what the hell is going on man ??? the level of his talent is just...
He *anticipates* where the ball is going amazingly well (and of course he has the conditioning to follow up). This is why he is able to reach the ball when you think that the point is over.
Sinner is really a machine. He is rarely seen breathing heavily. It seems he is just warming up. And yes, his drop shots are getting really cold as hell.
Gasquet is playing as well as he ever has it seems. Sinner is so good and yet Gasquet looked like he was in every set and every point. Amazing performance!
When I saw the matchup to be played on TV I thought to myself how in the world Gasquet could even stand against Sinner. It turned out better than I thought.

This is so ridiculous and disrespectful! It does piss me off. I'm a huge Sinner fan and from all the players I hope he come out as the champion. But Gasquet played beautifully. Hit several massive Backhands. Bravo to the Frenchman
Jannik è un bravo ragazzo, lavora sodo, non si fa distrarre dalla notorietà, ha un talento speciale che sta coltivando giorno dopo giorno con serietà. Il tennis non regala niente a nessuno. Vittoria meritata. 😘
Sinner did not look nearly as dominant today as usual. His forehand placement was excellent but his power was lacking (still quite powerful but not what I’m used to seeing). His backhand didn’t quite create the angles it normally does. Alcaraz was also not himself. Honestly, Gasquet impressed me. He is limited by his age (he of course does not have Djokovic’s conditioning), but his ground strokes were beautiful, and Sinner simply ran him around the court in a way that was not sustainable.
Richard Gasquet plays such elegant tennis .His backhand is pure class . Well done , a great effort; but there can only be one winner, and in this match it was Sinner.
Everyone acting like this was the most wide open draw of all time with Sinner still in. If he says he's healthy I wouldn't bet on anyone else to win the whole thing just based on how he's been leagues above the whole tour all year.
I feel like the highlights could be better. We watch really good points serially from the same angle. We need replays of the points from different angles or slow motions. It would be more enjoyable to watch slightly longer highlights. And yes, Sinner will be the winner of the RG
I don't have Sinner going far in this tournament not just because of his health concerns with the hip but also his history on clay but he is looking good and he happens to have a dream draw which should allow him to ease into the later rounds and develop some real consistency and feel for the conditions. I don't think his level can match Dmitrov's though.
Gasquet must be thinking: "Had to deal with those 3 for all my career, and now these damned kids".
