I keep hearing people say this as if that angle was not shown on last nights FS one broadcast when, in fact, it was, multiple times? Am I missing something?
It's crazy how, at the end of the day, this could very well be one of best things to ever happen to his career. It's definitely not in the way he wanted, but now EVERYONE knows who Blaine Perkins is. A quick search on Google Trends shows Ollie's got quite a bit of traffic right after the accident too 😅
Fox has completely butchered the camera shots the last 2 times someones tumbled down the backstretch at Talladega now. At least they have 1 full angle for this one unlike with Larsons in 2019
@@TheBoringLlama there is no good footage of this crash. The one full angle they have they zoomed in so far you couldn't even see the whole car. Awful camerawork on every angle for this crash.
Out of the 6 flips, the roof only actually hit the track twice. One of the most violent tumbles I've seen in a while. Glad he's out of the hospital and okay.
What’s even more unreal is that when you look back at broadcasts from the 90’s at talladega they always cut to where the most action in the wreck was hence why we got so much footage of flips like Wallace, Schrader, and Elliott (almost flipped).
People complaining about the camera angle. They were focused on the 66, then the 5 and 02 make contact. That's why they didn't get a great view of the whole flip
Ok, so I've been seeing that people say the last barrel roll was Buescher in 2016, whatever happened to Kyle Larson's barrel roll down Dega backstretch recently in the Gen 6, I think with Jeffrey Earnhardt in the 81 at the time. Edit: just checked, 2019, I think spring race
@@wordlesslfiddling true true, I think it was in the context of like blow over going into a barrel roll or an impact into the wall, not open wheel racing when the tire comes off and digs in, will definitely have to check those other wrecks as well. Also high speed barrel rolls.
This could have been something like the 2011 Pocono race where Kurt Busch crashed and Elliot Sadler flipped and there’s no footage of Elliot’s flip. Thank god they had that side camera
I could feel that threw the phone sure glad he's ok but it can come back in him body not made for impact s like that ok hope you all have a blessed Sunday
Give this camera crew an F
That blow over was wild.
Thank God he was ok.
Fox once again showing they have the worst production in motorsports
It's not like MRN is any better, their commentary sucks
@@caedmon2behrens186wtf are you talking about
That flip is a combination of Scott Riggs’ flip from the Talladega 2005 October Cup race and Tony Stewart’s flip from the 2001 Daytona 500.
Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano are pretty good in the booth ngl
FINALLY an upload of the camper camera angle, thank you 🙏
Vicious crash, glad to see everyone involved was okay ❤️

@@IzzyTheEditor the angle at the end of this video was shown ONCE and nobody else has uploaded it
reminds me of 90s crashes

Blaine Perkins did win a stage here a few years ago too!
Probably one of the wildest flips i've seen since Rusty Wallace's 1993 Talladega flip
Looked just like it too especially white the infield camera
I'd say Scott Riggs at this same track in 2005 looked a little more similar, but quite a bit more violent.

It was an Improvement on 2019 with Larson…
When I saw that car I figured he did flip but I never thought he flipped that violently
I know everyone is talking about the wreck, but im happy about: nascar all out flip video, hell yea
4th time in the last 14 years we've had a car go over that many times (Christopher Bell 2016, Jamie McMurray 2018, Kyle Larson 2019)
Chris Buescher last year too flipped 5 times I think, but that wasn’t at a superspeedway
@@kylebusch4528 he had 4 and a half rolls or 9 flips, larson had 12, mcmurray had 12, and bell had 17 iirc
Man they whiffed the camera work, the head on footage would've been amazing.
Did the exact same thing with Larsons flip in 2019
@@tuckduck33 luckily this time they got pretty good footage unlike that one

One of the most violent flips ever. Glad he was ok.
Definitely not even in the top 10 of most violent flips ever

I predict that this is #3 for the 2020’s top 10 flips
Good for you
valid. crazy looking wreck, but with next gen cars we have had some wild ones (ryan preece, could add buescher in the grass flipping)
Fox sucks covering nascar like seriously. They immediately go to commercial after the crash which is stupid in my opinion
There soft trying to protect the snowflakes hearts that's there new procedure when there a violent looking crash
This kinda relates to Scott Riggs from '05 talladega

When are you gonna upload Daniel hemric's flip
This was truly one of the races
Huh?
just like in the good ol' days
I saw Vegas Golden Knights flag past by from one of the replay angles
Thought it would be a while before I saw another flip like this. . . NOPE!
they had a turn 2 camera why didnt they use that
He was lazy and looked away from the field right before this happened.
(I'm not even joking.)
When I first saw that I just thought he had a hard crash with the outside wall
Yeah I'd thought he'd been sandwiched or had the side of his car sheared off wasn't expecting that all
Can’t even sell that car at Ollie’s
💀
took me a moment to get the joke💀

Got to see this in person and it was the first nascar flip ive seen in person
Still unreal that nascar doesnt have cameras to cover the entire track at all times.

Camera’s are supposed to follow the wreck’s progression. This is a failure in basic camera work which is Fox’s specialty
You're supposed to zoom out during a crash, not in. Complete failure by fox.
Stop making excuses for them. Fox is just trash.
I saw Blaine Perkins's car head before the flip on replay
2023 Nascar xfinity series flip: 2
Nascar has one of the craziest flips In like 1993 2005 2009 and now 2023
Six yes SIX! flips I counted
