My question would be what about the other half of the year you AC benefits from the cool basement? Any figures to back up claims to insulate? Thanks in advance
No, only sold through dealers. If a dealer doesn't carry the product you want too bad. I went with the Amvic Amdry insulated subfloor panel offered through home depot.
I'm thinking about laying down 2" XPS foam, and then dry laying 24" x 24" ceramic tile over that. I figure the tiles will be heavy enough to hold the foam down, and if the basement floods, I can pick everything up, let it dry, and put it back down again. I've never heard it done before, so I'm a bit wary of going this route.
I'm no expert but if you were going to do this then you might consider laying backer board over the foam for rigidity. Might be just enough movement in the foam to cause cracking in the tiles. Save your money by spending a little more at onset of the project
So in my feed is a movie called "into the dust" and I see a familiar face........dr energy saver and his son won their class in the baja 1000! Wow!
