I have removed the tungsten electrode. Now it’s just the casing that’s stuck in there. I can see you have drilled the threaded part of the glow plug. Did you not have to create a new thread for the new new glow plug
Dear Hubitools team, The HU41051 kit on your website doesn't seem to have the electrode extractor tool that you show in the beginning of the video. What is the model number ? Thank you
Hello sir, It indeed is included in the set HU41051. Both puller and drill (in case the electrode does not pull out using the puller tool) Thanks for your interest.
Hi, is it possible to remove electric connector even if it's not threaded (with plug)? The one on video looks like the one with plug. How the special screw holds there so strong, that you can use slide hammer to get connector out?
Don't get me wrong , these kits are all well and good and can get you out a situation.. but most of them have the same "Achilles heel" What it there in place to stop the drill or tap cuttings from falling into the cylinder??
The only moment when cuttings could fall in the cylinder chambre is when pulling the glowplug out. So right before doing it, it is important to either blow some air or even better use a magnet to remove everything. Adding grease to the thread of the puller and arround the extraction area will help by sticking dirt.
Please, how to remove when the threaded part is still stuck in the head? I broke a craftsman screw extractor and I am in more trouble now. I was told that I need a SNAP ON screw extractor. Any ideas please?
Hi. Not sure to understand your question. Is it the thread part of the glowplug that needs to be extracted, or your craftsman extractor that broke that your need to pull?
Hello, maybe you didn’t watch the whole video. We use the slide hammer to remove the electrical connector, then we remove the thread by drilling it. Then we remove the electrode, tap the remaining body of the glowplug and extract it
Hi There :-) By "stack heating rod", do you mean the glow plug tip? If this is the part that is broken in the cylinder head, we would advise you another one of our kits (HU41050 ua-cam.com/video/x4JMKZNd3j0/v-deo.html) that is specially designed for this type of situation.
Great tool even better seeing it being used... I have 14 tdci where the tip is snapped. I can remove hole glow plug apart from the bit that gets hot. Is there anything that will remove tip stuck in combustion chamber?

@@DW-hx1xm - If only the tip is there you might want to try another approach. Instead of taking it out the "normal" way. Push it into the chamber and remove with small magnet! Might sound awkward but as worked before. Cheers
It says "enables glow plugs broken in the top of the CYLINDER HEAD to be easily removed". But it don`t say what to do "when the glow plug is broken AT THE TOP of the glow plug itself, AND the threading is well stuck in the cylinder head".
Hello, It is the same. Just different way to explain where it broke. Look closely at the video, this kit aims to pull the glowplugs that broke above the threaded part. So at the top of the glowplug if you prefer.
In the process of drilling the locked glow plug, the thread in the head probably got damaged. No worries, you can simply put an insert that you can find in any automotive parts store.
@@Hubitools any idea what size that should be? A bit confused - if I want it to take a M10x1.0 glow plug, then shouldn't the insert be bigger than that with the insert diameter 1.0, but maybe the outside diameter 1.25?
Hi, for drilling out the threaded part of the broken plug body what is the best torque and RPM to use? (I have a drill for what i can set both RPM and torque)
that looks very cool, however the bottom line is the right tools for the job
It looks awesome it's one of them tools you don't want to use but when you don't have it you are in a world of trouble

Hello, this tool makes possible to remove the glowplugs with a connector (for electrical) on top. If the glowplug had a threaded top, it won’t work.

How could anything possibly get into the cylinder when the glow plug is in there 🤦
I need this set!

I'm just going to leave it inside the glow plug port. Engine starts fine, not even engine management light on. Let's see what happens
Did anything happen? I snapped mine and I am thinking whether I should leave it or try to pull it out.
Bought this kit hopefully does the job!
Did it work?
Where did you get it from?

the slide hammer won’t get a glow plug out if the but is just spinning as it needs to be undone on thread first
