So they hit him with nerfs. These are the reasons why people think superman will lose. almost every feat the hulk, Thor, Sentry and Silver Surfer, Shazam, Flash.. Superman has already done and most of the time he did it first. That is why everyone compares to him and there is so many copies. Nothing against the other characters their time will come. They will get more powerful, then the nerf stick will come. Look at hulk... Damn near unstoppable.. Then in a she hulk issue a building falls on his head and he is knocked out... figures and they wonder why people shrug and the writers laugh and sell more books.
It's only a matter of time 'til Sentry one day becomes OP enaugh to defeat the One Above All, like Thanos did. If Sentry became so OP in in just 24 years, while Supes needed so much more time, it's natural that Sentry becomes the most OP version of Supes. After all, he's the perfect version of Supes, so has be strongest and defeat the One Above All.

In my opinion you made a big mistake on two topics, base Superman vs base Sentry in the comics, Sentry would never win under any circumstances and the same goes for pre-crisis Superman, Sentry doesn't even click on him, man... in reality, not even Sentry in his perfect form beats the current base or pre-Crisis Superman, that was a complete absurd, To be more sensible, no Sentinel version has any chance against the main Superman or against the aforementioned versions, versions like Injustice or Red Son are no match for Robert.

I think it’s safe to say that Superman has planters level strength and probably multi-planet level strength. Striking Power: Superman has gone up against some of the most powerful beings in DC Universe. He had knocked out Mongol with just a few punches, he’s knocked out Earthman with just one punch, He knocked out Wonder Woman one punch & with that one punch me sent her from the sun all the way to the Earth with just one punch, he’s able to poke through empirics probes by himself & was a being who was able to overpower the Justice League. Superman has even been said before, that he’s able to through a punch hard enough to split apart the moon or shutter planets. He had punched health enough force that the punch was felt from the centre of the Earth to the edge of the atmosphere. He punched Bizarro all the way up to the moon & actually through the moon. Superman has completely shattered a planet by jumping off it. Cracked half a moon from one of his punches. He’s split a small moon near Saturn completely in half. Durability: Superman takes attacks head on & come out the other side with no damage. He’s been kicked across the entire state of Utah & landed in Colorado, then punched from Metropolis to China, went from California to Tokyo, been thrown out of the moon & has been hit to the moon on several occasions. While weakened in a pocket universe without a yellow sun, Superman was slammed into a planet with enough force that the shockwave went out and dwarfed the planet in comparison. Resistance: Superman has an extremely high level of resistance against powerful attacks. Supermam could stand up to his blasts since he’s been able to stand up to Darkseids omega beams, he took omega beams from Darkseid when he was amped up, he withstood infinity man’s energy blasts that were said to kill new gods, he’s taken blasts from Mobius, he’s withstood an energy blast of Red solar energy that busted a whole 12 miles wide, survived the source wall explosion, withstood attacks from the from the void hound which destroyed 10 star systems in his test run.
