Webb was brilliant with the very real depictions and recreations of almost every detail. Webb used the radio sounds to perfection from the shoes to the doors and background coughs. The dictation early in the episode and the assistant taking short hand was priceless!
You know $50 bucks might not seem like much . But in the day.. you could rent a. Room for $2 bucks a week . Pack of smokes 10 cents Mabey .. well they Got em... sounded like she needed to “dry up” anyway . Thank you again for taking the time to post all these great stories 👍🏼
"She's hurt pretty bad-" "SO AM I,SHES HURT ME,WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?" "You haven't been run over by a car." this part is just the best in my opinion .
Have you noticed how different the justice system was then. Search warrants didn't seem to be needed to search someones place. In fact after we search we will just make ourselves at home and wait for you to return. Also when a crime was committed that's what they were charged with. In most episodes the criminals will get in a brawl with Joe and his partner before the arrest and there is never any resisting charges filed. In today's justice system it doesn't matter what the crime is they always have a laundry list of charges ranging from conspiracy to spitting on the sidewalk then the lawyers spend six months plea bargaining and the 10 charges come down to 2 that are pleaded out.

In the early hours of the morning a woman pedestrian is struck down by a hit and run driver. It’s Friday’s job to find him.
Extra mild ?? I don’t think so . Unfiltered (straights) . They stained your fingers yellow and left Tobacco in your teeth.. ya extra mild compared to truck exhaust 😎

Honestly I prefer listening to this show over watching it. Though watching it is pretty cool. Listening to it just sends off better vibes.

@@otrarchive I will do that. Thank you.
Agreed! I've tried watching episodes of the show, but the theater of the mind is far superior to a grainy TV show.

And they didn't have seat belts or bicycle helmets. No polio, measles, mumps or chicken pox shots either. No child seats either.
