"Immigrants are the problem." NO. Billionaires who deny coverage and cause hardship to struggling families are the real enemies in this country. HEALTHCARE SHOULD NOT BE CAPITALIZED UPON, YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO BE WEALTHY TOGGET PRESCRIPTIONS OR VISIT A DOCTOR. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
I do not condone murder in any way shape or form. This is a very unusual circumstance where I find myself conflicted. You have a man that was a CEO of a multi billion dollar health insurance company, that lived his life every single day, deciding who gets to live and who gets to die all in the name of profit and protecting the company’s “best interests”. Now we have a shooter that took matters it into their own hands, and “ punished” the company that made that call - something that our government, and our elected officials have failed to do for decades. So now we have one person on the loose, that illegally murdered a rich CEO of one of the largest health insurance providers in the United States. And on the other hand, we have a now deceased, rich CEO of said health insurance company, who committed potentially thousands of “murders” by denying life saving healthcare to patients - which is legal in our country. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Someone took a stand against that. Now here we are. Rooting for the criminal, and not the victim. A human life is a human life. Whether it was done illegally, or legally, this madness has to end. No one should suffer, and no one should be in pain. And it’s sad that we see it every single day where these rich billion dollar corporations are allowed to play judge, jury, and executioner. But when the little guy stand up to it, they are murderers, have severe mental issues, etc.. This was just a furious person who took it out on the leader of a group that caused that pain. Whether this is right, or this is wrong; as a good hard-working, honest man, I can’t say. There will be consequences, yes, but in this case, I’m not sharing any tears for this CEO or his family. And the CEO‘s family claims he was a “good man“, or they had no knowledge about his job actually was, they are turning a blind eye to reality and lying not only to themselves, but to anyone else they say it to.
Man F these big CEO’s and Rich ppl. They holding all the money while ppl the working class are struggling. Same wt the government outsourcing all our money and tax dollars to foreign countries.

I'm in my 30s with type 1 diabetes and every person I know who has had it is passed away. All other young/middle aged people. I think we should get ssi as well. Working does horrible things to my blood sugar. I feel your pain.
@jennywarren my friend just died from type 1 diabetes at 36 years old
@jennywarren type 1 is deadlier than type 2 because it's harder to keep blood sugars stable, and the earlier onset allows for complications to start at a much younger age. Many type 1's don't manage the condition well, especially when they are kids and teens.
Insurance has little, if anything, to do with type 1 being deadlier. The primary blame belongs on the patient and how well they manage their condition and general health.
I’ll bet money this comment section gets turned off soon, they don’t like it when we speak the truth instead of fawning over them.
As fucked up as murdering someone is.. This comment section just lets you know the poetic justice the masses see from this.
Maybe change pharmaceutical business strategies to not hold peoples health hostage and people would have sympathy. Until then don’t expect a finger to be raised to help or a candle vigil to feel sorry for the victim.
It screams how sick people are, mentally. The guy wasn’t given a CEO position after earning a GED out of high school. People who are smart, raised right, and work hard, earn that kind of position. The fact he worked in healthcare doesn’t make him a demon. There are millions of people working in healthcare. Maybe focus on the crap in our food, if you want to fix healthcare.
@ as someone who’s wife was denied blood pressure medication after giving birth and having to only pay $5 out-of-pocket for the possibly life saving medication.. I feel like your comment is insanely naive.
My brother-in-laws mothers chemo was rejected because “she didn’t show enough cancer” (she died 8 months later).
These vampires as less than scum in the eyes of the majority of citizens.
And you seriously think this guy is clean when he was the CEO of the dirtiest healthcare company there is?.. have you taken a look at their lawsuits? They are taking advantage of their customers and stealing from them.
@@PC33CC Well said. He doesn't stay at the top saying yes or no to insurance claims. He has others to do that.
@@thegrumpypapa5549actually he does. The more money he makes for shareholders the longer he stays at the top. And the more claims he has his people deny the more money he makes for shareholders. It’s pretty simple, insurance companies make money when they don’t pay out insurance claims
@@PC33CC he was being investigated for insider trading and had been sued by a Fire Department pension out of Florida because of insider trading. This guy was a bad man, an evil person. I honestly believe that you do not get to be the CEO of an American healthcare company without being personally responsible for millions of people suffering and dying because of your direct actions. We’re not talking about a CEO of a cookie company or car company. We’re talking about the American healthcare system, where literally millions of people die and suffer every year because of the greed of insurance companies. if you don’t know anybody who’s been victimized by these companies, you are very lucky. Because most people do. It’s pretty damn simple man, they make more by paying out less claims. That’s why it should never be a private company’s responsibility to provide health care for people. It’s just too risky to put the health of the population into the hands of shareholders who only want to make more profit
Greed kills 🧐
And the world's smallest violin started to play for the CEO of a health insurance company.
Actually to be fair when I had them for medicaid they covered everything.
But seriously who cares about someone who profits off of pain and sickness?
I'd bet this is someone whose claim was denied and who had a family member pass as a result.
Very soon there will be no insurance so whiny people like you who have no personal gripe will have a reason to complain. 😘

@VoteForBukele what does that sentence even mean? Are you somehow implying that the entire health insurance industry will suddenly disappear? Will universal healthcare replace it? Because if it doesn't then insurance companies will exist forever meaning I don't have to whine about shit because I actually have good insurance through my job.
Your sentence is so poorly written I don't even understand what you're trying to tell me. You're saying I wouldn't complain if insurance disappeared? Well if it was replaced with universal coverage I wouldn't whine. Otherwise it will always exist so what are you even talking about?
You can literally buy insurance on a 4$ desk fan what makes you think "soon there'll be no insurance?" Insurance will literally exist FOREVER for literally EVERYTHING.

I wish i could feel sorry. I don't. The blood in the hands of these health insurance companies is insane
As a nurse, I can say United Healthcare has caused unbelievable to the U.S. healthcare system . Greed. Hugh bonuses to executives. Deaths due to delays and refusal of treatments. He knew all this when he took the job.
Just recently, was it this company and HCA-Hospital Corporation of America-wait to the last minute before contract agreement was reached? Nervous making for insured patients. Betting many on Medicare Advantage are changing from both before 12/7. Not to mention the security breaches.
Amen, fellow Healthcare professional, if the people only knew how bad UHC truly is as a MCO there would be no tears. Time to advocate for our people. Maybe now someone will listen. Write your state reps.
Hope he didn't have UHC as his health plan. They won't cover bullet wounds.
To a real shame if his treatment relied on the same coverage offered by his company to the public.

I am 74 and on Medicare. Thankfully I am in good health and only visit a doctor once a year for a physical. That stated, I was reading the comments below and absolutely stunned at the nearly universal condemnation of United Health Care specifically, and health insurance companies in general. The fact that almost everyone has little sympathy for the victim tells me something is seriously wrong with our health care system.
The word 'Against' is hidden in the space before the word 'Health'.
People are fed up with raising healthcare costs that don't make sense anymore.
Criminal sympathizer.
How many people had Thompson hurt and killed as CEO of the sick-care company UHC? Sometimes bad things happen to bad people.
How many people has "sick-care" UHC helped?
Sometimes idiots say stupid evil things.
Health care needs to be non profit and heavily regulated towards cures not treatment.
United Healthcare is non profit, it is ran by the government.
You think doctors and nurses are going to work for free?

Wow. I'm over 65 and on Medicare now but self emplo for years before that I had to pay $800 per month for healthcare I thankfully didnt need. This system sucks!
So, my $800 a month was pure profit for United Healthcare!

My heart goes out to all the sick and poor people whose lives and savings were sacrificed to the stockholders of UnitedHealth.
I bet you it was someone who's wife died because of a denied claim.
I hate to say it, but I have little to no sympathy for those who run the medical industry.
Drug companies, hospitals and worse the insurance companies are evil, follow the money.
We have to consider a motive for this crime. Someone who does this could be someone who is being crushed by a profit driven and insanely rapacious system of exploitation and greed which crushes and invalidates even the concept of national healthcare and social wellness. So it could be any one of us.
This system was planned long, long ago by the Rockefeller's. The plan is to make billions and to cull the herd.
Or someone recently laid off and given 5 months severence for 20 years of service🤔
His insurance wouldn't cover the life flight?
I'm surprised if they cover his Uber fare to the hospital.
His enormous income, vehicles, vacation homes, and real estate were all purchased using client funds intended to cover his medical expenses. It's a racket.
He probably denied coverage to a really desperate person
It is hard to feel bad once it is pointed out that he was the ceo of UnitedHealth
Maybe insurance company shouldn't be for-profit. We are literally forced to buy their services yet they do anything but deliver on what we pay for.... 🙄🤮

If his company did wrong by someone then sue him and/or Unitedhealthcare. Violence is never the answer.
People like you are sick.
As my dad used to say,
"Couldnt have happened to a nicer guy"
😂😂

Story seems odd for sure…a person mad about his Healthcare coverage or something else not being covered, financial ruin, he made CEO pay. How would he know the exact hotel location is weird. Investor day is in NYC, per press release.
Press release for Inv Day just notes NYC. Perhaps they had access to additional info, ie Invite that displayed location. Regardless, to obtain his precise hotel location is too weird. However, companies use preferred hotels.
How many ppl died bc he and his company deny health insurance to poor and sick and elderly ? Died on his way to an investor meeting . . . .
