There are so many different types of video games and different levels of playing. SteveOs recurrent observation that gamers are all generally just wasting time being fat and lazy either playing or watching others play is such a "50yr old dad" thing to say lol. VideoGames can teach problem solving, patience, interconnectivity,... you can use them for exercise and brain teasers, memory building, etc. && as someone who isn't going to ever play the games, likely, but who loves certain franchises and also uses games as inspiration for character/landscape artwork, I absolutely adore just watching streamers play these games that I will never own/play, myself.
Also, that adult worker literally shattered her spine essentially because she performed a backflipp (if I remember) to horizontal splits in what appeared to be a foam pit but was just a layer of foam cubes covering a concrete floor. So she rocked her shit. And she was the second or third girl in that same foam space to injure herself at that event, but hers was by far the absolute worst of them. Those event planners should be super hella sued.

I grew up not far from where Tony did and I relate to him so much. I also lived in Austin for 23 years ending 9 years ago, and Tony talks about Austin like I did when I first moved there.

i've not reached what you're referring to in the podcast yet ig, but in general i'm not sure what you mean. steve o's standup chops aren't great, but he doesn't really do normal standup, he doesn't just tell jokes, he shows clips of stunts and then gives commentary on them. i've only seen 'gnarly' or whatever, but tbh i wasn't very impressed with it. the clips are quite short, which makes the stunts seem underwhelming. it's worth watching if you're a fan, but i didn't enjoy it that much, even being a massive fan of jackass.
i don't think i'd enjoy steve o that much as a person, but mostly bc he's so sensitive, i think that would get old quick. how offended he got on segura's podcast when they showed him a video of someone getting injured, 'did you just show me someone dying, that bothers me, that just ruined my whole day i didn't like that at all' blah blah blah, it was so fucking irritating.
