Incredible instruction! Thank you!!!! Recent subbie. I've only seen 2 videos thus far, and in those videos you had a camera trained on your mixing palette, it was very helpful when we could see your palette as you painted. (i.e., Seeing what colors you mix, how much of it, the amount of water you dip the brush in, etc...all very helpful to see.)
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this information, Matthew! This is SUCH a helpful video!!!! I’ve been doing watercolors for about a year and a half, and just recently found your channel and everything you are explaining is finally clicking with me and making sense. Thank you for generously sharing your knowledge with us! I aspire to paint just like you!
When you let the paint dry before the second wash your paper does not appear to lift or buckle. Mine does even though I apply water to both sides of the paper and use good quality 100% cotton paper. What am I doing wrong?
To get his paper to stick to the board, he wets both sides of the paper. Doing this stops the paper from warping or curling up on the side you’re painting. You don’t have to do this; you could use tape though.
Hello sir i am from the Philippines I really love how you paint. Especially the concept of Mr Evansen . I also love to communicate with you if you don't mind . I am a teacher here in the Philippines who also love to teach watercolor painting in children. Than you for your clear explanations ❤
