    I absolutely LOVE the OLD TESTAMENT…as a child in SUNDAY SCHOOL lessons always come to life again. I’m almost 60’ years old now, I cherish the SCRIPTURES. We can’t just bury our heads and try to forget OUR FATHER is multifaceted but SOVEREIGN. I appreciate the teaching of the Philistine gods. I just seen a clip of the military fighting at Ashdod. Same war and fighting there at this biblically historical place. GOD is REAL and fighting for ISRAEL.

    I read my Bible every morning and when I reach the end I start over. Most days I read it I always love to hear a true man of God talk about the chapters I have just read and Pastor Paul is my very favorite one to listen to. He explains what I have read so well. Thank you Pastor Paul. Your teachings bless me here in Oklahoma and I hope to thank you in person one day in Heaven😊

    Started going to church last Easter. By myself. I'm good though. I mustered all my courage, and sought out a home group. We're studying Samuel 5 tonight. Did anyone else laugh as Dagin, their mighty god, fell down and broke his head? Bless God Most High. All are under HIM, and for HIM. HE will not have any Dagins.
    There's an idea going around today that there are other gods. What they have completely missed is there is 1 Most High. The rest are just tools to accomplish HIS will.

    It’s funny how we are so quick to be upset about God judgement or lack of compassion when we ourselves have absolutely none! God is sovereign! He is just! He is fair! But most importantly he is loving 🥰

      Well said !! If I was God I would’ve already destroyed everyone for being so arrogant, prideful, evil and wicked. I would have zero patience.
      I pray that I would have the fruits of the Spirit.

    In the past, when I was going through my difficulties I would see the tumors and rats as signs of a curse or being judged upon and it would place me in this vicious cycle of self destruction, but I love how Gods mercy as you pointed out is revealing Himself to us, and it says in the Bible that He corrects those He loves, which in fact is actually acting to set us free! great message.🙌

  • @MacjeffChigudu
    @MacjeffChigudu 5 місяців тому

    Wow... this is flat out beautiful word... God's mercy is amazing.
    Him allowing the arch of the covenant of Israel to be taken by the Philistines gave a chance to the Philistines for God to reveal himself to them whilst they were with it as they were Pagans. Its like they now had the presence of God amongst them... God wanted them to open their eyes and see.
    God's mercy is amazing.

    At 34:45 what does Pastor Paul mean when he says the Law still kills people today?...ok..I think i get it...hes saying if people follow the Law it's all about performance and bc we can never do it perfectly we will give up on it and sin eventually and so we die....whereas with Jesus we have grace.
    Is that correct understanding do you think?

    What really sticks out to me is that I often go through the OT thinking of how the peoples battling the Israelites were the enemies of God in every way and deserved annihilation. Then you read chapter 7 and realize how God was giving the Philistines a clear sign of Himself. They still had opportunities to turn to turn from their paganism and turn to God. Maybe they were even positioned to see God's greatness more easily than the Israelites. Def a change of thinking.

    How do you pronounce his name?

  • @hman9581
    @hman9581 2 роки тому

    2:25 - We see the truth of God wrath in the OT because the love of God had not been fully revealed. God made a point of it - His displayed His wrath for that he could shows His great mercy through His son.
    God doesn't have anything to justify through His word. Romans 9 express this Sovereignty.

    Thank you Pastor Paul that was really brilliant teaching. One thing however, the name Yeshua is the Hebrew name of Yeshua, this is what he was named and what people called Him. NO ONE CALLED HIM JESUS!!! The name Jesus is a TANSLITERATION and has no meaning whatsoever. Yeshua in Hebrew is Salvation. Jesus has no meaning at all.

      Palestinian was a derogatory name the Romans gave to the area people groups meaning trouble makers.
