Is there a "Lamp Test" button, I was in a regular power plant and pressed the button and all the lights above the control gauges started flashing and an alarm sounded!! 😊
The simulator was an option given to us on the tour but we didn't know about this until the day. Anton who runs LitWild knew the person who would be able to give us access. It all worked out perfectly.
@@SirAdamUK I couldn't quite tell what they were talking about in the background, does the simulator still work or no? since I heard in the background what seems to be a tour guide saying it doesn't work anymore or like it wasn't being handled properly?
The simulator was out of action at the time of visiting; there had been a water leak from the ceiling which had damaged some of the computer components.
No, this was part of the biking tour to Ignalina NPP with LitWild Travel. To see what's included in this tour, you'll find my other video on the subject interesting 😀 thanks for watching
I would love to be there some day.
I love the half life sirens at the end

In all honesty, I don't know. I suspect there would be one but the simulator wasn't powered when I attended.
Cool video! So if I understand correct, your access to the simulator was only through a LitWild tour?

was this made out of the actual abondend control room?
No, this was a separate control room in another building away from the power plant.
I actually have a box of 6 of the same type of buttons used at 1:15.
Nice. Where did you get them from?
@@SirAdamUK I sadly forgot, But the name is a KE-011.
is this part of the in-depth tour of the information center

Ты предотвратил катастрофу? Нажал на кнопку чтобы заглушить реактор?
Да, я спас день как раз вовремя 😄
This is no rbmk1000
Ignalina NPP was built with RBMK1500s.
