Its because of mana usage of earth type magic, it use a lot of mana to use a simple earth magic that why it was useless bcuz there is no one have suitable mana capacity for using earth magic. For example, fireball maybe use 6 mana and earth spear use 50 mana
It's because earth magic consumes way too much magic for what it produces, making it inefficient in combat, which is why it's considered useless. It's kinda understandable, but the people just lack imagination.

Another story where the MC is disowned for something that is in no way under his control.
That was what sucked about being a noble. As well, in modern times a leader of any kind or political figure. You did not do anything wrong but as you are someone with responsibility you both have to do something about it and take the consequences for it no matter what the issue is. Learned this the 1st time I was put in charge of people. They were causing issues and wanted to do the minimum they could get away with (as we all do) and this caused issues in many forms. As I was in charge it was my fault and I had only had the job for a single hour.
Yeah that sucks too. Leadership is more than being able to give orders. You also have to find a way to make the SOBs listen. But I was mainly referring to the handout of skills. They claim that the skill you get is just what you get. So things like "don't disappoint me" and "I'll try my best" are both irrelevant. If this house has a long tradition of producing awesome sauce, it can only be due to the fact that undesirable results are swept 6 ft under the rug.
I don't know why its such a copied story premise.
At least have them choose or earn the "wrong" power from the gods. Like having to perform in a trial that deems what you will be bestowed with. If there is no control over it then there should be no responsibility on the outcome.

Besides the bad beginning, the Manga looks good. I like it. As long as the "bad thing happening" stuff gets kept to a minimum and resolved in a funny & favorable way to the village it will be keeping good.
This MC is following the path of many children who grew up without knowing economic distress, namely not understanding the importance of reserve money as a way of dealing with unforseen problems. Amanda is smiling and fleecing him to the point of skinning him and if he doesn't wake up, he will go broke and become monster bait when the villagers realize what a soft touch he is and that he cannot miraculously change the hayseed villagers into Counts and Countesses in the blink of an eye.
i was just thinking about that. he giving away a lot of his fund but one villiage taxes to support him? with the main industry of the village being monster hunting letting her keep or the gems is a mistake. He should had limit it to at least 60 percent on what the hunter bring in. am almost sure if she started with 30 percent in his initial bid he may had ended up a more favorable outcome to have his troop train.
Clearly the guy is not a merchant. Not to mention the hunters would be doing most of the work once they train so he could tax them lightly but let them earn enough to spur the local economy. He lucky a merchant is willing to venture so far out into the wilderness braving bandit and monster to reach that outpost. i am also surprise his father put him in charge of only one village and not several in the area. but i guess he did want him to die so that make some sense.

The priest called it a land gift which could be interpreted as just growing crops, which was useless in battle. But earth gift could be useful in battle but that is not what the priest said was it.

Idk know why earth element is always seen as useless attribute just because it's often depicted as element that focuses on defence only, when in fact if use it properly it can win against those "powerful" elements like fire, water or wind. I mean earth element technically can counter any of those elements pretty good, and don't forget with earth element you can transform the land which can benefit you in any situation. So MC father is a m*ron for kicking MC out of his house, and when MC become successful or powerful, usually in manga like this the father will ask MC to comeback to the house and act like he never done anything wrong in the beginning.
