Never, ever work on rotating equipment with gloves. Not only will you be caught faster by it, but the damage will also be greater. The gloves will pull your hands further into the device.
I do agree that one needs to know of this possibility and it's can and does happen. With that said, however, I am a glove guy, but you make a valid point. I learned about that from a guy snaking out my plumbing. I offered him gloves because it was poo water and he explained the danger of gloves, which made total sense.

Это делается гораздо проще. Берешь плашку(лерку), для нарезания резьбы, нужного диаметра и прогоняешь через неё. И ни какой мороки, с брусками, клеем, пилами и сверловкой.
Anyone how has all those tools needed to make one of these has not got the time to make dowels in this fashion, the ones in the store are going to cost far less.
You just need a drill. everything else is just to get the nuts lined up, which has no significance. Just get any block of wood, insert nuts and drill them out... But I'm curious as to whether it would work with all woods, and what the cutting edges are. that would help in using it on the long run. We need to think of sharpening/ re-grinding.
@@stephenebenezer8238 The castellation made by the 3 (angle grinder) cuts across the nuts has created 6 cutting edges without rake or relief, enabling both cutting ability & resistance to snagging, which allows a fair degree of control & repeatable consistency. If you need faster cutting / on harder wood, give the cuts (mild) rake & relief, though it will carry some risk of snagging. If you get too much snagging/ snapping, slightly blunt down the tips of the cutting edges in very small stages to suit your needs. You might want to make 2 sets of these, for both hard & soft woods. You could also, rather obviously, make yours in any custom sizes, again, as to suit your needs, such as for repair work for antique furniture, etcetera, where you may battle to find available sizes / woods at affordable prices. Take care & have fun
This looks good for small dowels, simple and quick to make. There are all kinds videos of contraptions for cutting large dowels, nothing comes close to the table saw jig. I believe Izzy Swan was the first to post a video on cutting larger dowels on a table saw.
Probably ok for very soft wood but what about hard wood i see problems and you can buy dowel cutters that have cutting teeth with ground primary and secondary relief angles ground to cut smooth.
Watch about 2 minutes and that was long enough to give a thumbs down. Narration is an important part of a video. Compare silent movies to the "talkies".
Man, that is a lot of wasted time and money for just a couple dowls it would be cheaper and a lot less time just go spend a couple dollars and go buy what you need. Any hardware store has wooden dowls. |||||
0.5-in dia. x 72-in L Round Poplar Dowel $3.98 0.5-in dia. x 36-in L Square Poplar Dowel $2.98 ($.42) Popular costs $ 4.75 per bf. ($.85 for the above dowel.) I don't want popular and what if I want the size they don't supply? Or maybe I want to save money?
Why do I feel like I'm watching an Ukrainian SAPPER that's so ugly he/she doesn't dare show their face lest it beak the camera, and doesn't formulate words well and so...doesn't speak, WHY?
Nice design.
Используйте плашки для на резания наружной резьбы, легче нарезать и выход стружки

Two things I've grown tired of... videos that try to keep you guessing as to what they're actually making and watching people saw wood. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz
I go straight to the end and see if it is useful.
Anmd no dialogue!

Nice job 👍

Что то не все станки прорекламировал!)))
EZP DOWELING .............. KISS: KEEP IT SIMPLE, SMART!
its not obvious where the cutting edge is developing when you just drill through the nuts
Столяр в перчатках???я всегда думал, что это опасно и не допускается по ТБ.... Я , наверное, дурак....
Во. К вращающимся станкам и открытым механизмам, вообще с тряпками подходить нельзя.
😁👍👍

what kind of wood do you use
Beech

What is it?
I like your device anddesign, please reduce your video to a sample, not every single step. But thank you for sharing your ideas 💡
👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Brilliant 👏love ❤ it Sir. I'm going to make one 🙂one question the last holes you drilled can that be done earlier please 🙂

gloves and loose clothing at the drill press---the rest was not impressive
I was flinching at the loose clothing whilst operating that lethal planer - fast spinning blade completely open on a nice, wobbly stand!
