As a Kiwi, it’s been an absolute pleasure watching this journey, and seeing a treasured piece of my homeland turned into something truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us. 🤘🏻
This build got me into the channel. You make it seem like a cake walk. It wasn't. Your creative approach in other builds made me appreciate your skills as a craftsman. Your candidness made me appreciate you as a person. Even though you're not the most business minded person, I think that's actually a strength, you're hands down one of my favourite UA-camrs and this is one of my favourite projects.
I'm one of those people who hold their breath when concentrating... I also appear to be one of those people who hold my breath when YOU'RE concentrating... I mean, that Crimson inlay? I swear I turned blue! Beautiful instrument. Thanks for sharing.
A Spectacular Build Here, Thanks, The Wood is just Outstanding, k Gibson,,Fender, & Paul Reed Smith should be Knocking On your door, to hire you, Lol, Cousin Figel
So when is the plane shavings and epoxy guitar build going to happen? The shavings under template in solid box was just too striking an idea to pass up!!
This is the first time I have watched this man, so dedicated to his craft. I love his work and I predict he will become a force to be recognized in the trade. Best wishes Georgie.
Well done! But...why don't we have a link to hear 42,000 years of a journey to your guitar shop. ? We've traveled through the whole build, and where is the climax? I know when I build guitars, I can barely wait to be completed. Lovemaking is a little like guitar building...we are at the point of no return! Yet here we are, hanging, on the threshold to a dream.
My favorite is always the 1st episode where I can see the initial plan and dream that gives me a chance to imagine possibilities before seeing the final piece ❤
Honestly, this was the best series you have done. I loved it. When there was a quiet period, I got kauri anxiety! I loved how you showed your mistakes, like when the logo snapped. But then you recovered really well. And, as always, how experimental you are. Great great series of videos.
I watched every episode of this build,After watching this video from start to finish,Now this might just be me,But I sensed a bit of emotion there from ben when he realised it was finished,Outstanding work,And an absolute pleasure it is tuning in every week watching this master at work👍👍👍
It's a gorgeous guitar made out of a wood that fought you all the way. Amazing job, Ben. But the action is about 5mm high at the twelfth fret! Have you been able to sort that out?
Fender is doing a great job of "rounding" the fretboard edges on their better guitars and even some less expensive models...it dramatically increases grip comfort. Even Epiphone does it. I didn't notice that on this guitar. Did I miss that, or did you forego that for some reason?
Such a pleasure to watch as usual Ben & Team. You don’t know how jealous I am that I don’t work for you 🤣 Beautiful attention to detail and true craftsmanship. This is how is should be!
Hi Ben, when you "hit" the top and listen to the resulting tone and remove a bit of material from the glued on bars (I'm not sure how the spelled correctly) what are you listen to or want to archieve?
Bravo Ben, bravo. I've watched every video of this build. And now this preciś. Second to non craftsmanship to a world class product. My only hope is that you saved the shavings from the build and if you did can I suggest you use that to make some sort of antipodean wind instrument to honour the material. I hope that doesn't sound to zen, the hippy in me would be so happy. Thanks again for all your effort Ben...peace Ps did I notice a little chin wobble at the end 🥰
What?! You didn't even let us hear it!!! Why??? I don't understand 😢 It was amazing watching you build such a beautiful creation but aren't instruments dual natured?? They're supposed to be seen AND heard!
Hi Ben.... I was following this but I only got up to when you were taking the electrics out.... don't know what happened.... I love all your stuff 👍😁....are you still looking for guitar's for your museum ?.... I've got a few and wouldn't mind donating one for the cause.... it's a daion savage made in Japan in the 80,s...they only existed for 3 of 4 years so there a wee bit on the rare side.... I think you said you only wanted British guitar's at one point 🤔 I think you would appreciate it 👍
i started playing the guitar after not playing for 8 years now that i seen your video im going to pretend im playing your guitar in this video and see what happens i started playing when i was 7 years old played in heavy metal cover bands and have some vids on youtube thanx for the great video i had no idea you could make a guitar out of 42000 year old wood
Almost perfect..... what kills me is the neck recess. The bottom left of the plate is rounded, and the square neck joint sticks out like a sore thumb....
I feel bad. I am a fan of your videos and an expert at intl licensing for imports and exports. Four years is nuts... unless you were in France, France has issues
Great job but I don’t know whether I like it or not. There’s something about the way it was. It looks cool and even though this looks cool I guess I’d have to hear how it sounds.
Man that is some crazy skills you have.. beautiful guitar … I’m a bass player you think you could make a bass one day.???? If not that’s still a great guitar…. Take care..
Auckland University does radio carbon dating and offers certification for various commercial uses. I myself have had 2 guitars built from 45,000 year old kauri.
I need to hear it play, what a beutifull piece of art, congats from oz.
As a Kiwi, it’s been an absolute pleasure watching this journey, and seeing a treasured piece of my homeland turned into something truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us. 🤘🏻
Me too 🤩
Glad you enjoyed it!
That has to be the best-looking guitar I have ever seen, I would love to hear that sound from it.
I need to hear it!!❤
One of your most beautiful creation, I think. A stunning finish - so clean and understated. The clear covers and neck plate work perfectly. Wow!
Thank you so much 😊

Beautiful instrument. Thanks for sharing.
That's a beautiful looking guitar and an A+ luthier. Thank you for sharing the build with us.
Thank you kindly!
It's like watching Rembrandt at work. Totally off the planet and georgious . 👍👍🎸🎸🎸🎸
A Spectacular Build Here, Thanks, The Wood is just Outstanding, k Gibson,,Fender, & Paul Reed Smith should be Knocking On your door, to hire you, Lol, Cousin Figel
Kiwi guitar player here, that is the sickest guitar iv ever seen, would love to here it plugged in, you sir are a master craftsmen.
So when is the plane shavings and epoxy guitar build going to happen? The shavings under template in solid box was just too striking an idea to pass up!!

One of the nicest guitars i have ever seen
Thank you.
@@CrimsonCustomGuitarsWhy didn’t you play it a bit? That was a pretty serious oversight!
Came out absolutely beautiful. A true craftsman. Bravo!
Stunning guitar, amazing series of videos, thank you very much, Ben!
Glad you like them!

Absolutely magnificent, a true work of art! Thanks for sharing the experience!
Craftsmanship at it’s highest standards
I feel like its been 42,000 years since this project started. 😋

Please finish the handtool only build
You aren't thinking like a luthier... Let's start a new build!
I watched every episode of this build,After watching this video from start to finish,Now this might just be me,But I sensed a bit of emotion there from ben when he realised it was finished,Outstanding work,And an absolute pleasure it is tuning in every week watching this master at work👍👍👍
I will never tire of seeing this build, it's a stunning guitar.
Absolute class! Watching the birth of an unbelievably beautiful guitar such as this gives me a hell of a lot of pleasure, thank you crimson.
Truly a masterpiece. Gorgeous.
What a journey. Simple and plain has its own uniqueness
Is there somewhere we can hear it being played?
What a masterpiece…
absolutly 100% stunning build, I am in awe !!!!!!!!!
Nice looking finished product, Kudos for all the time put in. First class looking instrument, Hope it plays, sounds as good as it looks.
What a beautiful guitar and such an engrossing video. Several times I realised I’d stopped breathing. Superglue eh? Is there nothing it can’t do?
Always killer craftsmanship 👊🏽
That’s beautiful Ben , well done .
A beautiful piece of work.
Many thanks!
Absolutely beautiful! Wow!😮
The instrument is absolutely beautiful. Georgie.
Seems like you could have cut the body three times and saved the body routed wood for a jr. or travel guitar.
Stunning. This would be on my "that's too beautiful to even touch" list.
It’s like a piece of art.
It's a gorgeous guitar made out of a wood that fought you all the way. Amazing job, Ben. But the action is about 5mm high at the twelfth fret! Have you been able to sort that out?

Beautiful guitar. I really can’t believe you didn’t give us a short playing demo, though! Wtf?
That does look exceedingly Nice!
Awesome build!
Fav build so far. So experimental. Who’d have even thought of flooding with superglue?!?!? What did you do with all of the wood shavings?
Oh wow, that is a object of desire and is absolutely stunning guitar (art)
Beauitifully executed, what a gorgeous looking guitar.
Thank you kindly!
That was a pleasure to watch,
Mr Ben you did a great job!
thank you
Awesome job Ben!
Very nice build. i can't wait to see what you do with the shavings and router chips.
You and me both!
@crimsoncustomguitars Any chance you have a playing demo going up? Would love to see the end result in its element.
Very high woodwork knowledge! Bravo! ❤
Thank you very much!
I loved this edit. No humming and hahing, minimum mugging for the camera and just getting on with the build.
Awesome, thank you!
Hard to imagine now but there was a time in NZs history where they made apple crates out of this timber 😱
Such a pleasure to watch as usual Ben & Team. You don’t know how jealous I am that I don’t work for you 🤣 Beautiful attention to detail and true craftsmanship. This is how is should be!
Would you have been able to route out the gap in the top and put a nice inlay in?
Absolutely stunning
Thank you so much!
Hi Ben, when you "hit" the top and listen to the resulting tone and remove a bit of material from the glued on bars (I'm not sure how the spelled correctly) what are you listen to or want to archieve?
That was beautiful! Could you do a video about super glue finishing sometime?
Wow. Just wow.
Ok,if there was ever a guitar I would steal just to play ,this one's it ;)))🎉❤
Beautiful
Why not make a symmetrical acoustic without cutawats ( which create an imbalance in top sounds)
Man that's a lovely beautifully guitar. I wish i owned it!
Beautiful!
It's beautiful wood, but Kauri can be easy to mark, we had a 100 year plus table and you could see all the marks from cutlery, cups, etc.
Looks Amazing I'll take one!
She is just gorgeous ❤
Why did you set the bridge position without checking intonation?
You know what ? 52:45 those remind me of the all clear Game Boy , completely unrelated but that's what comes to mind 😂
That was really impressive.
Thank you
When will we see the SG finished?
So, are you going to finish the other guitars that have been literally years in the making, or build anything new, or nah?
If you read this you have any idea which song was playing specifically at the “ SuperGlued - lacquered part of video towards the end ? please sir
Gutting out a Fender ... to build a new guitar. Probably the COOLEST thing ever !
Incredible
Bravo Ben, bravo. I've watched every video of this build. And now this preciś.

1:32 oh shhhht there's 2 of em! and one of em's a ghost!
amazing work
Thanks a lot!
Please just finish the hand tools only travel guitar please !!!!
This channel has gone from one of the best to one of the most frustrating 😂
Definitly in the pipeline to be completed
I agree. Any saw made by a Tucker would be terrifying to use.

Thank you for your offer of a guitar. We would love to talk to you about that. Please email office@crimsonguitars.com for the attention of Ben
attaching your router to a board to hollow out the guitar was brilliant.
Nice watch!

beautiful guitar!
Thanks a lot!
This Kauri tree certainly didn't die for nothing, some 42000 years ago :)
Ben, When you were inserting the truss rod I saw what I thought to be some pieces of tape, were these to stop the truss rod from rattling?
Yes
I feel bad. I am a fan of your videos and an expert at intl licensing for imports and exports. Four years is nuts... unless you were in France, France has issues
I couldn't even guess, but I would be curious to know the value of this instrument.
Great job but I don’t know whether I like it or not. There’s something about the way it was. It looks cool and even though this looks cool I guess I’d have to hear how it sounds.

Im the background throughout all the video, there is your cyberpunk guitar and it looks as gorgeous as this one.
Wow, thanks!
Hey guys. 32,000 years is mad. Can I ask how you had its age verified?
Keep rocking!!
Carbon dating most likely
Auckland University does radio carbon dating and offers certification for various commercial uses. I myself have had 2 guitars built from 45,000 year old kauri.
42000 years - and IIRC it's been carbon dated (C14 carbon dating method, if you want something to google for a rabbit hole to dive into).
@@lucemiserlohn thanks.
Carbon dating.
