This is horrible. She's six...y didn't they call her parents to come get her for the rest of the day they didn't have to do that baby like that. Trash I tell u.
Maybe you have no idea what families can be like. Maybe you should think about that, and consider that children acting out wildly may be crying for help in the only way they know how: by throwing a tantrum. And that to deny them a _simply evaluation from caring concerned adults_ who are professionals in mental health and social situations, away from their families that might be the problem, would just be... lacking in decent empathy, compassion, and social/civic responsibility.
Nellie Hunt teachers are just tired of dealing with kids who have ADD or ADHD or autism and it sounds like this teacher and or principal just said let the police handle it - I’m done!
Nellie Hunt that’s easy to explain. The teachers have dealt with this child’s bad behavior caused by her mood disorder(s) since the start of the new school year. The police lady only dealt with her for maybe an hour at most.
But these laws were passed because of lawsuits by snowflakes that can't handle their children. Remember, "Spare the rod, spoil the child". Kids don't get disciplined at home and wreak havoc in the classrooms. Plus by your own words, these teachers are just that, teachers, not their parents.
Legally they were bound to act in accordance with the laws your Democrat leaders passed. If you really want to know how this happens, just look there, they are the evil here, not the school system.
i just don't understand is why they couldn't give the parent (s) a courtesy call first and say we may have an issue, how soon can you get here? it's disgusting and heartbreaking what they did to this girl and her mother. i hope she is suing the school. this was totally inappropriate and to not know what's going on with your own child??? DISGUSTING!
I’ve never experienced it in my classroom, but you’d be surprised by the damage a child can do to your room. I’ve seen the aftermath. If a student loses it you have to take your other students out of the room and wait for them to get done. It RIDICULOUS. They can over turn desks, rip things off the wall, knock over shelfs, rip up books, etc. By law (in my state) you can’t touch the child even to defend yourself or others. However, THIS is absolutely absurd and it’s infuriating!! Not okay. For her being that calm and reasonable....wow.
Prank Girl...small kids rarely know where they're going. Talk to one, give them 10 seconds and they will still ask the same question. I understand the mom's feelings, but it ia an overreaction to sue. She needs to speak to the school staff about other resolutions. However, I am sure she has a greedy lawyer advising her to get paid, not deal with the child's overall development.
I remember watching a local talk show and the person being interviewed was put in a psych hospital and turned out they were just legally blind. An easy fix was glasses. Crazy. But that was the 60’s.
Jenn A. There had to have been several attempts to contact mom about her behavior. There is a process to this. You cant just call the cops and take her to wherever the principal says. She doesn’t have that authority. You have to have enough documentation to show that the student is in fact a threat to staff and or students.
silent_ride_home- Do you think or do you know?? Ive worked in the school system for over 10 years now. That means I KNOW whats its like first hand. Do you?? Than your opinion or what you say is irrelevant to me.
@@JohannRosario1 Problem there is she probably didn't have the number. Everyone likes to think that calling someone is so easy in these situations, but the school most likely refused due to privacy laws and they could have charged her with kidnapping if she went out of her way to find the number whilst having the little girl in her vehicle. It's a tricky situation for the officer, so she did what she could.
Alaina Segovia cops had to follow the law. Unfortunately the law is favored in the power of the education system, and if they deem a psych evaluation is necessary they can’t do anything.
DudleyIsDumb cops have discretion they don’t have to follow the law and they sure don’t have to be honest about anything, even the Supreme Court has ruled on some of that. Though I’m sure they could have intervened if they knew more their call was to escort this child and they probably didn’t know much more about it
DudleyIsDumb they 100% did not need to just do what the school said. They even noted how calm and pleasant she was being. That’s where they should have decided to call the parents waited for them.
And if the child has a mental health issue that they failed to have her diagnosed for when her behavior shows that she could have one? That’s gross neglect.
This just sounds like a teacher who doesn't know how to handle an active child. Children these days get bored. Adults get bored. I'm bored right now at work. But as an adult you prioritize what you need to do in life to get through the day. For a child, it's not that simple to tell a child to stop acting like a child.
chochonero341 ADHD? No, just a toddler who wants and needs to PLAY and not forced to sit in some non-ergonomic seat for 8 hours. The psychopaths running and ruining lives!
Active? That child has behavior issues. The mother stated there is a treatment plan in place. If the plan didn't meet the child's needs at the time, the mother should have been contacted.
That wasn't his best interest of that child. When she actually realizes what happened that's going to scar. And everybody knows that mental scars are worse than physical.
Truth ... and this will make her distrust in future. This will only give more and bigger problems. A school that can't handle a 6 year old have for shure failed. Give the girl the right attention and calm her down the right way. Its not that hard . That school should be put under investigation and the quality of teachers and staff evaluated. Looks like they could use some new much better skilled teachers / staff. And putting a 6 year old in mental hospital for 48 hours alone away from family ,,, this is simply bottom of all kind of humanity.
YES! But what does the Law say! You see NO ONE, not even the Police called the Mom! I hope she wins her lawsuit. That why the system needs reform! STUPID AMERICA!
Im pretty sure mom was contacted several times about the child’s behavior. It just sounds like they had no other choice because she possessed a threat to staff and students.
Prince Sunnyboy- Were talking about news here. Lol If they stated all the facts they wouldn’t have viewers like you. Your reaction is what they thrive on.
Tony unfortunately it has gotten worse. A lot of children are on medication that sometimes alters their behavior and they burst out in violent, psychotic episodes where they endanger other children, teachers and some physically hurt themselves. This is not just acting out. I’m sure the mother is aware of her child’s disabilities but this is not how it should have been resolved. If no one in the school could handle her, the cops could have waited until the mother arrived. And for the attorney to claim that an adult can’t handle a 50 pound child, apparently he hasn’t been around a 50 pound child when they are throwing chairs and desk and other people.
Kia Bobia I’m sorry but I disagree. Children with this type of behavior/special need issues should not be in a regular classroom. At risk and mental disorders are two different things and not all teachers qualify to teach special needs. That is why they have special need teachers and regular teachers. After witness a small child terrorizing a classroom, throw DESK at small kids and teachers, slapping a teacher so hard the white of her eyes are blood shot read then you can’t say all teacher should have to deal with this. A risk youth may be angry and act out, but there is a difference when it’s a psychotic episode. Thumbs up to you for working with at risk teenagers. I did the same years ago and loved it. Our kids that were in our group are flourishing and still keep in touch with all the sponsors. It’s really nice to know that you can positively impact young lives.
Kia Bobia yep. I know someone personally who’s child did this and next minute the child was sweet as sugar and I couldn’t believe my eyes. Small child couldn’t believe she did what they claimed until they provided her mother with a video. She showed me. She knows her child has issues and had to commit her child. My heart breaks for her. She’s grown but can’t handle her own child. So imagine a teacher trying to do it. As teachers you also have to be careful how you handle other people’s kids. I LOL when you said no 6 year old would be terrorizing you...I know what you mean.
i could never imagine being a parent and finding out your child was forced to go to a psych ward and not being able to see your child for 48 hours.... and on top of that the school never called you beforehand....
I remember back in the day, I was in the first or second grade the school took us to a cotton field to pick cotton. They didn’t give us a slip to take home. I got home with a bag of cotton and mama asking where the cotton came from and I told her we got on the bus to pick cotton mama🤣😂😩. Mama called the school so fast, before I could even put my stuff down. Poor ole me didn’t know what was going on😩😩daddy came home, mama told him and he went up to the school the next day😬😂 so every field trip mama or daddy or both came on every one after that😂🤣
I remember it too, when we was out on the field🤔 it did feel weird because I noticed it was basically all black kids around and it was a very descent amount of white kids at our school. 27 years later nothing really changed. In fact it’s getting worse.😒
She’s a child.... the teachers and administrators involved need to be fired . She has learning disabilities but to have the baby arrested and taken to a psych ward without the Mothers consent of knowing. Just awful and traumatizing
If you take someone else child for 48 hours its kidnapping and life in prison. Think about that for a second. With some nonsense writing on paper, they call a "law", they can end your life while they do the same thing. Have a good day slaves.
She had a violent outburst s as and hurt other kids and a teacher. They did the right thing. Just so you know they called the mother and she couldn’t come to the school, she was at work.
We had a boy quite deep on the spectrum of autism back in school. Would occasionally lose control and start grabbing things, lose his temper and become hysterical, but he never hurt no teacher or student. Everyone understood well enough what he was capable of and it never caused anyone any trouble. He had a designated support teacher who sat with him through all our years. This was 20 years ago. This girl isn't even on a comparable scale of concern - I cannot comprehend what was going through the head of whoever was responsible for calling the police on a 6 year old child. How can a place be *SO* behind on necessary support? Absolute incompetence. Good on these officers.
Most Valuable Pig I did one on one with a student a number of years back that had behavioral issues. The child would lose control and destroy things at times, and not once did the school call the police to handle it. The parents were called,or the counselor was brought in. It was handled and no kids lost valuable learning time.
➗ Over population, poor diet, cell phones are the problem, you have to enter school disciplined, well fed, bathed, clean clothes, respect for your self and others,. Watch the propaganda pouring into the ears of these children!! Are they being taught respect? No they are being told they are entitled and they do not have to listen to reason or obey any laws. Running around with cell phones recording everything to prove you wrong!!
@@shinra358 adhd used to be known as... how should I phrase it? Vivacios, troublemaker.... stuff like that. Another difference is that nowadays a good therapist and proper meds can help with it (coffee works for adhd, too... I heard). Beatings and other abusive punishments never worked, anyway...
Well a little kid absolutely CAN attack adults and CAN cause injuries. I'm a teacher and have seen crazy stuff. I don't know what happened in the building, but calling the cops on a little kid is just sick no matter what she allegedly did. Where I've worked protocol is to call an ambulance as well as the parents if the kid is hurting themselves or others and can't be calmed down. We are not allowed to touch children who are raging, I literally will lose my license if I do. Also, keep in mind we are teachers, not trained mental health counselors, and there ARE situations that we are unable to defuse. Again, I'm NOT defending calling the cops on her, but we are there to TEACH not to address acute mental health crises
I believe federal law States a person can be involuntarily committed for 48 hours minimum if deemed a threat to themselves or others. That being said this girl wasn't a threat to herself or anyone so really the school failed, not necessarily the system.
She’s literally a 1st grader. She’s just started elementary school, this might be her first year in school at all, because preschool and kindergarten aren’t necessarily required in all places. She’s ADHD. She could just be new to being around so many people, she could e just eaten something sugary. The school and the teacher should be sued. I couldn’t imagine being away from my mother in a strange place for two whole days after taken out of school by two police officers at the age of SIX.
MermaidSyno I’m from there. The schools are some of the worst in the nation. Any child that goes there can instantly expect to have issues. Trust me this is just the top of the iceberg
Gettin a head start on a promising rap career. If your kid is that damn bad a school has to send her to a mental hospital the trouble isn't the school, it's the home. With or without out your made up excuses as to why she acted the way she did the girl needs more help than her mother can provide obviously.
MermaidSyno I agree . She had documented adhd which means she should have had a 504 or iep stating what to do if she gets hyper. I had one in school. Kids with adhd need a little wiggle time and maybe a second teacher to give them extra attention. Her parents need to go over their parental rights from the school.
Ethan France kids with adhd get distracted easily and need to move around often. In school you know teachers like for you to stay in your seat. She needs an iep.
She was so polite and inquisitive and the mother seemed so heartbroken and caring. There’s no way the police needed to be involved even with a mood disorder and ADHD. It’s really unacceptable and I’m sure caused a whole lot of trauma for the mother and child. At least the female police officer was handling the situation the best she could.
Notice the first two things that baby asked for: “Am I going to jail” “Do you have snacks” She was afraid and hungry. I wonder how much of her life is lived like that? Personally I hope this lame school system has to pay this little baby and her mom millions.
You have no idea how she was behaving before the police arrived. Not saying they were right but just because she’s behaving when talking to police, doesn’t prove anything
First of all, she was clearly NOT afraid of the prospect of going to jail in the least. Her mannerisms are quite apparent in the video, plain to see, if you look at what's there, instead of what you imagine in your mind. Second, all kids like snacks, pretty much all the time. But if she was chronically hungry, that's the parents' fault, not the school's fault; all the more reason for an evaluation. Third, you are apparently not aware that the parents, including the mothers - trouble at home - are usually a major part of the problem behind kids acting out at school. Fourth, what's wrong with an evaluation? They were just sending her for an evaluation, _for her._ Not locking her away. Not sending her to jail. _She,_ in her innocence, asked they were taking her to jail, because that's what police do, and she knew she had been behaving badly. But they were not taking her to jail. They were taking her for an evaluation to find out if she needs some help. Because that's what good people do.
@@VillPom The thing is that she was calm... Even if she had some kind of meltdown before, sending her to a mental hospital after the fact is pointless.
Chris Cole you do realize they have no legal power and must carry out bringing her to a psych eval? The school has all the power. They also agreed to testify in court for the mother.
There is something SERIOUSLY CHILLING about this. Institionalisation is the sickness of our society. I AM so glad her mum got legal help and is making this / her case transparent to the world.
She has adhd and a mood disorder and now she has trauma and anxiety and pstd from being put into a mental facility without consent of the mother for 48hrs..
😢 The school made the effort to call the cops when they should've just called her mom. Write reports to the mom if her daughter isn't cooperating in class but to do that I feel just like you Mimi M... Let the mom take measures on what she needs to do. This is something that little girl is never going to forget and might hold against herself for being so bad that they called the cops and not because she can't help that she has disorders
@Julie Sprik That's why I say, they should've called her mom first then she could've sort it out what her daughter needs if it's a different school equipped for kids with special needs or if she needs meds. The girl had the ability to calm down and listen to the officers so she's not at the level where's she so uncontrollable. The way they also spoke to her made her feel comfortable to ask for snacks. I hope the event doesn't have a everlasting bad effect on the little girl
@@greenlawnfarm5827 Then the school should've advice the mom prior to accepting that they not equipped to handle her . Im sure they were advice by whomever is working her case. They knew she is a special needs child
@@ashlouw5350 If mom cant pay for private school then its not up to the school to give her special treatment. Its good that they sent her to a mental hospital.
This is a big part of our present problem with the police. They are being called to handle situations that don't require police, but mental health workers and social workers. The employees of the school should be doing their jobs and not putting everything on the police.
Police usually escort mental health cases to healthcare facilities. They aren’t there to arrest a criminal but to to escort a mentally unstable person safely to healthcare. It would not be wise to send out a mental health worker or social worker who is perhaps elderly or a small woman etc. Police doesn’t equal criminal detainment. They do lots of other stuff. Like this. The fact that the school sent the kid to a mental facility is the problem. Not the the police are used to escort actual patients.
The little girl even asked if she was taking to jail. What traumatic for a little child to be handled by police when they see police killing people in the media.
I’m so grateful to God I was raised in the time period I was - when teachers could handle their classrooms. The police? I was plenty afraid of the principal and her mustache.
Menopausal teachers. Wow. Mine cried during the Hindenberg film. We thought she had a relative die in the crash. Nope. “Change of life,” is how my parents explained it. We had a male gym teacher rant about a lost Steelers game. We thought he lost a bet. Nope. “Mid-life crisis” is how my parents explained it. Do you know how traumatizing “Change of Life” and “Mid -Life Crisis” are to school kids? BTW- the day after their blow-ups, we would get treats. Guess it all worked out. Still have that red rubber football shaped penny holder from Coach, the Gym teacher.
@@florastewart7957 How is it traumatic to you that adults experienced emotions in front of you? From what you are sharing it doesn't sound like that took it out on you, punished you, or directed any negativity to you at all.
Why wouldn't the school just call the parents. My goodness. Send her to the principal's office or keep her with the school nurse until her mother arrives. Very troubling story.
@Bad Cattitude Sounds like you think you know the whole story. A six year old is not such a threat that she needs to be involuntary committed. As for the comments regarding her mother and father, you should be more careful since - as YOU said - none of us know the whole story.
@ I didn't say I needed the whole story. I was commenting on another post. I find this an abuse of the law. A six year old should not be involuntarily institutionalized. It's an awful story.
Children learn their limits very quickly and once they understand that the school a teacher or principal can't put their hands on the child well then that's that. If you can't physically force a child to do something then how do you get them in to the nurse's office how do you get them into the principal's office how do you get them to do anything if the child doesn't want to do it? Child psychology has its limits
@Bad Cattitude a well behave 6yr old won't act like what? I saw a perfectly behaved lil girl. I saw 2 cops clearly even THEY felt it was the school not wanting to deal with her. I didn't hear them say "well she's calm now but we gotta take her cuz look how much stuff she damaged" no what they said is she's pleasant. I bet the cops got the full story even though YOU didn't. They took her cuz they had no choice, sadly the POS school is within the right to exercise this "bakeract" law but had it been up to the cops, its clear they wouldn't have taken her based on what they were told & saw in the school. They had to go based on the words of the school.
@ how are you turning this into public blame & fatherless kids & bad mothering?. Yes there are plenty of cases like that out there but THIS case has NOTHING to do with that. This story has to do with a school that exercised a "bakeract" law on a little 6yr old girl & it was the school that did NOT contact her parents. Just cuz u saw her mom on tv means her fathers a deadbeat? What if he died from an illness? U don't know that & although NONE of us on here know the whole story, we do know the cops that were informed clearly questioned having to take her in. They clearly didn't find whatever the teachers alleged she did, warranted being institutionalized. Don't be so quick to judge ppl based on a video less then 3min long. What kind if a person do you think that makes you being so judgemental? Why assume THIS particular lil girl had no father & bad mother? Hmm i wonder??🤔🤔🤔
Elsa Jones you obviously don’t know what it’s like inside a mental hospital. It’s not a place for young kids. They should call their parents and if they need extra help, just get them a therapist.
FERPA laws prohibit teachers from recording students without a written consent from parents and disclosure of what the footage would be used for. Had the "incident" taken place in a common area (hallway, lunch room, admin offices, etc.) where there are security cameras that would be a different issue. However, that does not excuse the schools administration from the way they handled the situation. Involuntarily committing a SIX year old to a mental health facility for what was probably normal disruptive classroom behavior is complete absurd.

well for the matter of schools, there is the school to prison pipeline where kids are arrested early and given a record so that they have a harder time in the future getting jobs and get stuck in jail. there was a case in the usa of a judge and a detention corp getting busted for the judge taking bribes to send kids to juvy. with the way people with records are treated in the usa those people will have a harder time getting jobs thus pretty much be poor,in and out of jail and easy to control by the system that creates the problems
When it comes to an emotionally disturbed person it is a law enforcement call. Especially if it’s a minor. Abuse has to be ruled out. The school failed this child.
@@gisellegonzalez2628 Teachers should have just sent her home and talked to the parents about it. @Bad Cattitude incase you are not aware, the way some are raised have nothing to do with their behaviors . Especially if they have developmental disorders or delays, and or other issues you may not be aware of. Did you not hear them say she has some?
Static InWonderland exactly! All children this young misbehave one way or another anyway. I’ve worked with children who have behavioral problems and their parents are great. The thing that makes this story even more sad is the fact that when it comes to bullying the schools do not intervene the way that they should, but when a child who obviously needed a little more care in school acts out, they are quick to get rid of them. The school system really needs a lot of work.
To use the Baker Act against a 6 year old child, should be treated criminal in of itself. And to circumvent a mothers authority???? This was premeditated, devicive, evil, and motivated by hate.
Children from 5 till 17 can be evaluated against the parents will. I do agree with you that if the Mother had no clue and wasn't contacted, then that was wrong. Kristin Gallo how could she of combatted if she wasn’t even informed
The officers cared more about the child then what the school did.
Big facts she was probably a mother herself
The officers haven't been dealing with her daily nor do they know what a behavior disorder is capable of. She's in special services for a reason .
Nellie Hunt
Was that officer Tiffany Haddish??
Nellie Hunt teachers are just tired of dealing with kids who have ADD or ADHD or autism and it sounds like this teacher and or principal just said let the police handle it - I’m done!
Nellie Hunt that’s easy to explain. The teachers have dealt with this child’s bad behavior caused by her mood disorder(s) since the start of the new school year. The police lady only dealt with her for maybe an hour at most.
“If you can’t deal with a 50 pound child you shouldn’t be in education” period.
DISGUSTING!
I agree except she is a child her parents should’ve been called and she should’ve been sent home not 5150’d

@@JohannRosario1 Problem there is she probably didn't have the number.

Mental health facilities aren’t bad

They had to go based on the words of the school.
@ how are you turning this into public blame & fatherless kids & bad mothering?. Yes there are plenty of cases like that out there but THIS case has NOTHING to do with that.
A little kid throwing a tantrum.. haven't we all done that..geez just call the Mom next time and don't waste the cops time...
For once, I agree with u Mr. Trump
How do you know they didn't?
You obviously know nothing about children with mental diasabilities and the extreme violence sometimes associated with it
Elsa Jones you obviously don’t know what it’s like inside a mental hospital. It’s not a place for young kids. They should call their parents and if they need extra help, just get them a therapist.
I'm pretty sure her guardian should have been notified right?
They should have recorded this “destructive behavior”
FERPA laws prohibit teachers from recording students without a written consent from parents and disclosure of what the footage would be used for. Had the "incident" taken place in a common area (hallway, lunch room, admin offices, etc.) where there are security cameras that would be a different issue. However, that does not excuse the schools administration from the way they handled the situation. Involuntarily committing a SIX year old to a mental health facility for what was probably normal disruptive classroom behavior is complete absurd.
what hide it then?
Just sayin for someone that was acting out of hand she looks like she was doingnok to me
Exactly!😒
Disruptive
I have ADHD also. And this should not have happened to this young girl.
I still cannot believe they used the Baker Act against a child.
Ask yourself, would they have done it to a white child ?
@@eyeandisinclair821, I already know they wouldn't have. I'm ½ black & ½ white & grew up in Jacksonville in the 80s. I see it's not changed much.
What's the Baker Act for us non Americans?
@@PR7-82, The Florida Mental Health Act of 1971(Florida Statute Chapter 394, Part I), commonly known as the "Baker Act," allows the involuntary institutionalization and examination of an individual. The Baker Act allows for involuntary examination, which can be initiated by judges, law enforcement officials, physicians, or mental health professionals. There must be evidence that the person possibly has a mental illness or is in danger of becoming a harm to self, harm to others, or is self neglectful. Examinations may last up to 72 hours after a person is deemed medically stable.
@@ThisGuy76 Wow! It's hard to think of an adult going through the enforcement of such act, much less a child.
It pains me to say, but There is something inherently wrong with the USA as a whole. So sad
Why are cops called in for everything in the US - a mad mad world
well for the matter of schools, there is the school to prison pipeline where kids are arrested early and given a record so that they have a harder time in the future getting jobs and get stuck in jail.
there was a case in the usa of a judge and a detention corp getting busted for the judge taking bribes to send kids to juvy.
with the way people with records are treated in the usa those people will have a harder time getting jobs thus pretty much be poor,in and out of jail and easy to control by the system that creates the problems
When it comes to an emotionally disturbed person it is a law enforcement call. Especially if it’s a minor. Abuse has to be ruled out. The school failed this child.
@@gisellegonzalez2628 Teachers should have just sent her home and talked to the parents about it. Theres more than likely a simple explanation for why she acted out. you are correct tho, the school failed her as well as the state for allowing a 6 year old to be taken from their parents and placed in a mental hosp for 2 days. That can be pretty traumatic for someone so young. She had no idea what she done wrong. Nothing was explained to her.
Yes they are and then all you here is defund the police. Can't have it both ways
@@greyeye6371 if cops went back to just being for violent crimes instead of everything we can end this kind of bs which is why the cops need to be defunded
Why wasn't the mother called seriously, this whole situation was handled wrongly
They did this with my cousins daughter too who is autistic with o.d.d. and it breaks my heart.
This school needs to be sued, the teacher and every staff member involved needs to loose their licensure.
I'd be very surprised if this isn't done
Facts
so a few staff members did wrong and the entire staff has to be punished?
what about all the teachers and janitorial staff and groundskeepers that were in their rooms doing something else
My heart almost broke when she asked the officer "Is this a field trip?"
Unless her head was spinning like in poltergeist this is outrageous and sick!
I'm glad they're gonna file a lawsuit, that stuff if horrendous.
Did they say Florida?!
Yep....this explains everything.
Was JUSt thinking this lol
Anything Florida is crazy
Male officer: “I think is more them and not knowing how to deal with it”
Me: absolutely
Mother’s lawyer: “if you can’t handle a 50 pound, 6 year old child then you shouldn’t be working in child care”.
Me: absolutely
This is terrible!
Absolutely agreed 👍💯
Bad Cattitude how did you come up with that assumption after the video you just saw? Both officers involved didn’t even feel that way. Just because the school said she was behaving that way doesn’t mean anything. They didn’t have any proof of her misbehavior either. Your assumption is based on what exactly?
@Bad Cattitude incase you are not aware, the way some are raised have nothing to do with their behaviors . Especially if they have developmental disorders or delays, and or other issues you may not be aware of. Did you not hear them say she has some?
Static InWonderland exactly! All children this young misbehave one way or another anyway. I’ve worked with children who have behavioral problems and their parents are great. And I’ve also worked with children who behave beautifully and come from terrible households and have been put in foster care. You are exactly right! It doesn’t matter how a child is raised. It has nothing to do with it.
@@Miss-zk1dk thank you😊 my youngest has ASD. We have 5 children ages 7 to 20. And they are all amazing. All different . They all had good n bad days like us all. My youngest has outbursts and gets mad alot and stems and has alot of behaviors. Me my husband and our children all love him and all are raised the same. We are even helping to educate the school on how to help him as we learn from his therapies and advocates. So I know for a fact it's not always how they are raised. That's awesome that you help children. I feel the more love and empathy and compassion we can teach and show , the better our future and theirs⚡
I still don’t know why they treat everyone with a “mental illness” like 💩. Ugh 😑 plus she doesn’t seem like a threat to me.
Well she probably was a threat while inside the school, but the mother should have been called first thing!
ADHD doesn't make anyone a threat. It can make them hella annoying and hyper. It also is often a misdiagnosis given to black kids. But shes a kid so hyperactivity is pretty common, even if she didn't have adhd, so I don't get how she would be threatening
@@Jaimelikegem Wasn't something else mentioned besides ADHD? There probably was something threatening, it just couldn't be displayed on here. That being said, there's no way the parents should have been left out. In addition, in over 10 years of teaching, I've never seen the police called on a student due to a threatening situation. Crazy.
They need special schools for problem kids.
They get paid for that they don't care harassing everybody
Nowadays the law is demeaning parents more and more. CPS can even take your kid without letting you know first. Unfortunately, everything that happened here was legal.
So the Black Female teacher and Black female cop are evil?
I work in public school system with special needs students and I'm appalled at how this was handled by this district ...there are laws protecting students from this type of thing set in place and we have a very fine line of what can and can not be done without a parent or guardian present or contacted ..this was wrong on so many levels and Thankful the officer had it on her video ...I hope the child was not traumatized at the mental health facility after being taken there
That’s Horrible. That School has no business working with any children at all
You're joking right? No kids = No schools. You're and idiot!
People have been weaponizing the baker act for years... This is disgusting.

@@damienhollester1006 Perhaps you are not aware that in many school districts hugging even touching a child is against school policy. Teachers maybe disciplined for that behavior or is that what you are trying to say.
Elvis Cobb: I am very aware of it and that's why I mentioned it. We have distanced ourselves from people in fear of false complaints. This little girl could of had the entire situation handled by a teacher hugging her and letting her know that she is loved by her classmates and a darn good teacher. We reap what we sow and that is a generation of dysfunctional kids who grow up to be criminals, some even serial murderers. Nice job America. No other country on earth has this problem.

She may need help, but this is not help.
Exactly, the 3 day is really a 3 day baby sitting service. The see a psychiatrist but it's very little to do. At that age group is something that they do because they are told. How much can a six year old retain. Then it up to the parents to get help. In Florida if you have no money or good insurance, little or no help. The places that do, think medications first. Some children need therapy to help them manage and help them with what is going on. We need a better mental health system in this whole country.
Why would a school do this?! Send the child home ffs

@@SeeFair23 45 is right media is biased and lies to you or do you still believe Trump has a 0% chance of becoming our president?
@@SeeFair23 There aren't any laws that forbid the use of a minor's photo *for educational or news purposes*. For advertising, different story. The faces of minors are usually blurred, but they certainly don't have to be. The use of the images determines it, not the age of the subject (unless it's about adult content use, NOT usually the case).
Most news outlets blur the faces of minors for the same reasons they blur the faces of sexual assault victims - it's an accepted practice. They don't have to (in either situation), but it goes over better with the general public.
