- We love a challenge and this was certainly that in more ways than one. When a Facebook fan sent a message to us asking how many likes he would need to get for us to fully detail his "250k mile shit box" the challenge was set "get a like for every mile on the clock and we will go to town on it". Well, the Facebook detailing groups was on fire that week with people backing Matt to get his car detailed by us, from far and wide people supported by liking the post and within a matter of days, he had done it. True to our word we got Matt along to the Auto Finesse Detailing Academy, drafted in some reinforcements and set about the task at hand in just 2 days.

That was the most enjoyable detailing video I've seen yet. The look on the owner's face said it all. The quality of the work was top notch. I hope that this project really puts the company on the map.
That old car was transformed. It was no shit box however. It's one quality machine. With 400,000 kilometres under it's belt, I think that's been proven. And that's coming from someone who is NOT a VW fan.
Diesel VWs are allergic to dying. I drive a 91 Jetta TD with 298,000 miles on the clock
@@Evildandalo Quite the opposite, VW Diesel engines are the most reliable ones if maintained and driven correctly. That of course applies until the end of the mk4 golf era. Mk5 diesels and newer are quite shit...
@@Evildandalo I drive a mk6 golf tdi and it's got 125,600 miles on it and it still drives nice and pulls well just the dreaded rust coming through in areas

I have watched this a few times it's fascinating ! You are obviously nice people to this for him as it can't be cheap doing this kind of detail well done all round ! The coil overs and wheels were the icing on the cake I never thought one of these could look so good you really knocked it out of the park. I love the track at the end of it Color of Napalm, in fact your taste in music is fantastic , keep up the excellent work !

Wish I was closer, my Nissan Titan has 300,000 miles and it certainly looks it. I've been wanting to get s professional detail, but I dont think anyone is going to provide this much detail or professionalism. I have an VW mk2 1.3 petrol. My car is nearly 30y old. I work in every weekend on my car. I try to restore. Try to do what those guyz did with this VW

@@piero2611 lol no worries 👍. Yeah I met the owner of that golf back on April in a car detailing shop event. Heard he spent a lot of money on it including getting it resprayed. Decent owner too.
Do love the R32s. One of the guys in the detailing shop has one and it's eye watering hearing the running costs of it. He pays more a month on road tax then I pay a year for my car and he states he puts in £30 of fuel every 3 days.

Probably more than the car's worth - but that's not what it's always about, it was just one of those spur of the moments "let's do it" type of days.

All depends on who you go too. This is still quite timid in regards to the level of detailing.
The main thing that made it more expensive was the wetsanding.
Miden King when were they wetsanding? I saw them use clay after the chemical decontamination, and before the one-step polish, but not wetsanding.
