Well... It seems Lammerts was just been honest on what had been reported to them.
      And yes:
      1. Corruption is an increasing problem
      2. There is a link to 'Chinese Influence' as well.
Why should one respect the arrogant reply from Geingob? Me thinks he just isn't used to that much honesty. And well... Perhaps he's already in a Chinese pocket himself.

    • @ThorusCrusius

@@metapolitikgedanken612 , corruption comes in handy for the US led West and their system of control and exploitation. The African countries execute their sovereign right to trade with whomever they want. No other country or individual has the right to interfere. Just like a toxic partner, the US led West doesn't like that other countries break free from their system of control, therefor they incite against everyone and everything. The Chinese influence lie is a prime example of that. The West reflects its own behaviour on others, although such a behaviour is alien to these others.

@@metapolitikgedanken612 The comments on this are simply ridiculous. Lammert just said that he saw much more Chinese people than Germans or European. It's his job to support German companies and programs. He wasn't "teaching" anyone let alone in an arrogant way. One might understand African anger, but Lammert didn't deserve this.

As a white German man, I feel deeply ashamed of Lammert and the way he disrespected the President. Unfortunately, this type of arrogance and self-proclaimed superiority is more than common in Western Europe, but especially in Germany. We like to think of ourselves as "the good guys" (Guess you can imagine why....) But we completely negate the fact that we are one of the main players when it comes to neocolonialism, basically trying to keep Africa dependent on the western world. No wonder, China and Russia find so many Allies in Africa, when Europe has robbed them for so long. Not to forget about the German genocide on the Herero and Nama which is to this day not common knowledge in Germany.

Chinese weren't donating money; it was a business deal that respected both sides as equals. Namibia must sell natural resources and in exchange it gets paid with a mix of cash and kind (infrastructure).
This saves the Chinese from having to pay in cash fully, which is more expensive. It also makes sure Namibia gets hospitals and roads built, because Namibia has a small construction sector that can't do big projects as well as Chinese. Both sides win.
The German can't understand this at all. All the Germans who go to Namibia are retirees who don't actually bring real skills or contribution. Instead they just make their own 'nature reservations' to keep Namibia backwards forever.
