Hey Julie! I'm with you - I've sold a few Coach bags and plan to sell a handful more before the end of the year. I'm feeling like I want to downsize and focus on the bags that are more practical for me these days. This was very helpful to hear you talk through! If I film anytime soon I may do a similar video. ❤❤
Hi Millie! I've missed you and your videos! Hope all is well with you. Yes, sometimes clearing out the ones we don't love anymore makes us feel better. Take care
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the *yutulu* leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
You and I both let go of so many bags this year! I think the 1-in-1-out method is a great way to keep things balanced-I’m moving towards eventually doing the same. I’m always just so tempted though with a new bag dropping what feels like every week! 😆
@@foreverebony girl yes! I love bags. Trying to be more sensible with shopping and saving more for experiences rather than materials too now. Take care!
Hi Julie, I sold 24 coach bags and 1 dooney and I still have not bought any this year. So happy I did, I don’t have the room anymore and I was getting anxiety just looking at my guest room with all the bags I had and I still have too many. TFS!!!👝👛👜❤
I literally purchased a Dooney & Burke bag at flea market for $6. I cleaned it up and it looks like new. You are right D&B quality is fantastic. You made right choices.
Now that I have my first DB satchel, I see why you have a collection. That bag has become one of the most enjoyable bags I have & the best quality! I don’t mind having multiple colors at all .
It's just a matter of time I have to sell some of my bags too. I need to slow down if not, stop buying which is quite impossible 😅 glad the bags found a new owner, someone that will enjoy them. I love your Dooney bags and probably much worth keeping 😊 thanks for sharing this video Julie. Have a great weekend! ❤
Hi Julie. I haven't had much luck with Dooney and Bourke. I had to return the last 2 bags I ordered. I was really excited to get the mini florentine satchel in black but I had to send it back because of the quality of the leather. The florentine satchels that I found at their outlet store last year had better leather. Do you think the leather quality has changed?
@@Row-c7r oh no I’m so sorry. I think it’s possible the leather is more pliable. My micro satchel leather is still gorgeous leather but it’s flexible compared to some of my other satchels.
That was a cute story about the Jonie bag. My son has talked me into many purchases as well. He just wants me to be happy 😊 I am making the transition from smaller bags to mid sized bags currently so my journey feels similar this year. I’ve downsized my number quite a bit while still adding new pieces I love. I totally agree with not forcing yourself to wear a bag and then being able to sell if at a better condition. I sold a few bags with tags this year. Enjoy your Dooneys! You are in your Hamptons Equestrian era!
Hi Julie, in total I let go of 10 bags this year, sold 5 & donated 5. The bags I did sell I hardly used at all, they were just taking up space in my closet. I think you made wise choices letting go of your 11 bags, you know what you like. I normally don't like really small bags, although I bought several mini bags this year, which I regret (buying more than one colourway) but do not wish to let go of any of them just yet. Thanks for another great video ❤️❤️
I too, have regrets on some of my Coach bags. I think you have to live with a bag and use it before you know for sure if it was a wise buy. Even though I’m in a no buy right now, I’m loving the Coach Empire in honey. Yes, I still do feel that Coach is hitting it for me. I spent so much money over the summer during the sale.
The theme I noticed with all of them was “really cute, but not practical”. I think Coach went hard for a while with the super small bags, which look great, but I know I can’t use them. I didn’t get much from them all year, but they did finally get me back with the Empire 40 and the Brooklyn 39s. I hear you about the quality vs Dooney, but I’ve made my peace with the fact that these Coach bags might not hold up as long. (But after using the Empire for several weeks straight I think it’s better than my initial impressions 🤞)
I’ve sold a variety of contemporary brands this year. Coach, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and Marc Jacobs. The main theme was colored bags. I realized I was intimidated by colors and felt limited with my wardrobe. That being said I scored a new Coach bag in Dark Lime on a Black Friday deal. I’ve been drooling over that color since it came out. If I don’t love it it will either go back or hopefully make some money selling it.
I haven’t made a Coach purchase in a year now. I’m not sure what it is but I’m over the tabby and the large C, it seems like they just keep making new versions of the same bag. I hope something catches my eye soon!
I agree! I’m tired of the Tabby bags. They’ve gone too far imho. The large C is ok but time to change that up. I am not happy with their new ones at all. Hope it changes soon.
Wow that’s quite a bit of bags to sell, I love both brands but this lat half off the year Coach has hit it out oof the park for me on certain bags and I have purchased far fewer newer Dooney bags. I do have a shorter want list from Dooney because I have picked up so many. I think we are kinda doing same thing but with the opposite brands 😊tfs 🛍️👛🦆🙏🚢
Hi Julie💕! You sold these Coach bags mostly because they're too small and don't suit your needs. Medium to large bags would work better. I can relate to that and am not a fan of very small bags either. Regarding the brands, I think each has its own unique qualities, pros, and cons. I'm a Coach person. For me, Coach combines amazing quality, reasonable price, countless varying styles, a playful attitude, and a unique history. It's as old as the Jeep, LOL! That's too old for an American brand. Great video! Thanks for sharing!!!🥰🥰🥰
Hi Dani! Some are heavier than others. A lot of the satchels are because of the chunky and high quality hardware. Others can be lighter. Hopefully you like them!
Oh man I should probably sell some bags. I love nearly all of them. I do have an LV black epi petite noe and I found out bucket bags just aren’t my style; I had the leather banding re done at LV so I have $800 in it and I’ll never get anywhere near that out of it, makes me a little sick. I have a couple coach bags I could probably sell that are really nice just not my style. I also have a speedy 35 classic that’s almost 40 years old, I was going to re do the leather but then LV raised repair prices and quoted me $970! Yikes! I probably have 15 purses total. You’re inspiring me to declutter… In the past I’ve sold some of my cosch, guess, MK, dooney❤ You should do a video on the coach bags you kept!
I’m into big bags too now. I love a slouchy hobo bag. I’ve been thinking about selling some bags, but I’m just not sure about how to go about doing it. I normally use a local consignment shop here. It’s just easily for me to let someone else sell it because I’m so busy. I guess I could list some on eBay, but then I would have to pack it and send them to them. You let go of some beauties! I can see why that orange hobo didn’t work for you. I would like to purchase a Dooney bag, but I’m not sure if the weight would be too heavy for me. Are Dooney bags generally heavier than Coach bags? I like to use the mini bags in my big bags as SLGs, especially if they have detachable straps.😊
Hi Candace! Thanks for joining. Overall Florentine leather has weight to it, moreover the satchels due to the amazing hardware. Some of the Dooney pebbled leather satchels are also heavier. But the canvas bags are not too bad on weight. Commonly I sell on Coach Gone Rogue Facebook or through ebay or on my YT channel through a vlog sale!
Coach will always be my brand...I found that in year's past D&B were too heavy for me. I only have certain styles of Coach that I am drawn to, i.e. I don't "do corners"! I would never buy the Brooklyn or some of the other bags that have sharp pointed edges that will show wear faster than more rounded edges. I did just receive my dark stone Bandit from the sale and can't wait to use it.
Totally agree with you on the corners! Sometimes they're just not worth it! Hope you enjoy your new beauty that's coming your way. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
I need to sell some of my newer Coaches and a Dooney or two. I had sold some last year to one of the websites that sell high end. I lost so much money! I was really upset. I’m not sure how to approach it this time. I’ll have to think about it.

I’ve sold 2 Marc Jacobs bags, 1 Dooney bag, and several Dooney SLGs. I am considering selling my Coach Cary crossbody in moss green. It’s in my favorite shade of green but I don’t reach for it. I also don’t like how it looks crossbody but prefer a longer shoulder strap. I got some cute strap extenders from Amazon. If that doesn’t rekindle the spark, I may sell it.
