The song is about addiction to techology , social media, attention, validation and all the "good" things that come along. Its kind of depiction of the today's society, our addiction to our smart devices etc. We live in a matrix, so focused on how we present ourselves on the social media that we have forgotten to take a look what is happening right in front of our eyes in the actual world, that there is a magnificent creation all over us, that is far more amazing, beautiful and mesmerizing that any artificial virtual reality could ever be.

In my honest opinion and working in customer service I have seen parents hand toddlers their phones to keep them occupied instead of interacting with their own children....this song is about our addiction to smart phones to the point where we no longer look up. It seems that we no longer take note of what is happening in the real world. It's all about how many likes we get. Tuomas (the keyboard player) who writes 95% of the music and lyrics for this band has said he has no problem with technology, however I think he has a problem with the human addiction to social media. You must listen to more; perhaps try Live versions of Romanticide from waken 2013, Yours is an Empty Hope from Wembley, and/or Ghost River.
The Bass player (pill guy) and the multi instrumentalist Troy (king guy) both sing.
You will probably have seen Marko (Bass player) singing in the past.
They do a killer tribute/cover of Pink Floyd's song High Hopes, you could react to, with just Marko singing. David Gilmour approved. :)

By the way....she is 6'1" and known as the Valkyrie Goddess.

Emppu - Lead guitar
(jokester and very deliberative in his playing)
Jukka on drums, but had to stop due to insomnia (but is still behind the scenes with Nightwish), new drummer is Kai who was the drummer with Wintersun.
Tuomas - keyboards and main songwriter/choreographer for Nightwish aka genius. :)

I am amazed you don't picked up what they are portraying in the video. The socialmedia addiction, the lack mirrot she sings about is your camera in selfie mode. People compete on social media, living lies (the green forest guy in the oil bath) The way women should look=instagram , vetburners lipfillers. Many young girls are having eating dissorders because of the image instagram makes of women. The guy with red lght, falling out the group...getting beaten u while someone makes a selfie of that scene.
The baby was put in the digital world , like our kids grow up in it, and in the end the man dies, but the circle goes on. While there is a neautiful world outside.
Technology is awesome, internet is awesome..but people are addicted to living in social media. All the happy families, photo's of dinerplates, the kids...while it's fake as hell.
