Side note: Kurt Warner could have very well been a member of this Browns 1999 team. The Rams left him as one of 5 players "unprotected" and eligible to be selected by the Browns in the "expansion draft" of February 1999. When a player was chosen from a team, that team could "pull back" or retract 1 player from the list of unprotected. I read that Kurt Warner was the first player the Rams pulled back by the Rams in that draft.
That Rams offense was LEGIT. That Rams defense however?…in my opinion it wasn’t even that good but no one really noticed that because the offense would score quickly and make these AFC Central/NFC West teams play catchup with their anemic offenses led by terrible QBs…their stats there were inflated big-time
