I m living 30 years in the garden island 🏝 of Kauai

      Excellent questions & thanks for the compliment. We used the iPhone 8 plus for many of the out of water footage but have since upgraded to the iPhone 10 Pro Max. In the water we used the GoPro hero 8 but have since upgraded to the GoPro Hero 10. I highly highly recommend the GoPro Hero 10. It's absolutely the best product on the market by a mile. I have recently released several videos with others coming soon showing the quality of the GoPro Hero 10 & the iPhone 10 Pro Max. I recommend checking out those videos to see the quality. It really is amazing!

    Great video and amazing tips! What month of the year was this? Heading out in Dec but not sure how wet the north side will be to do any hikes in that region.

      Thanks for the compliment. This was in the summer. Kauai can be quite different in the winter. You'll want to be careful playing in the water on the north side of the island in the winter. Strong currents kill people every year, no joke. Some of the best hikes are on that side of the island though. Best of luck & please let me know if you have any other questions.

    If the gate is closed at Queens Bath, do not go round it. It’s closed for a reason. Many lives lost and can be dangerous at certain times of the year. Plus, wear proper shoes for going down. NOT flip flops..
    At least glad you warned people about its dangers but so many ignore that. You’re right, locals are very upset about all the parking issues. Some people have no respect for the fact that this area is a local housing neighborhood.

    Thank you for not Blasting the location of the Turtle caves out! but also glad you saw them. It would be huge disappointment if it started to get over run with people. After the 2018 flooding the small beach area at the entrance was mostly washed away and lots of dead fall had washed in the entrance. Cant wait to get back there in Aug. hoping the road opens back up!!!

      Joe this is one of the more private areas left on the island, not a lot of people who are casual tourists get there and I would hate to start seeing people blast the location on a platform like this. Next thing you know some idiot will get hurt trying to go down and just generally start to get over run. Don’t get me wrong I always share location with family and close friends when on island but i think it would suck to start seeing people post up on line. It’s been a fun little spot for us for 15+years.

      Keep the hidden spots hidden. There's already too many dam tourists ruining the rest of the states so let's keep these few gems only available for the true outdoor enthusiasts. Joe, thanks for watching my video & for your comment. I'm glad you saw the turtles & grateful for your donation. This location is special & to be honest I almost didn't post the video for fear I would somehow be responsible for making this unique & special place a tourist trap which would quickly chase these wonderful creatures away from one of their private resting places. • @TravelingWilde
      @TravelingWilde  5 років тому

      Scott Bennett Thanks for your comment. In October, you’re just getting into the winter months so the waves and currents can be strong particularly on the north shore, so be careful if you get in the water in those locations. If you want to see turtles, you’ll want to arrive early in the morning before the beaches fill up. Be careful if you visit queens bath. Another person just drowned there. Other than that, the place is absolutely beautiful. If I could live anywhere in the world it would be Kauai.
