All these people going around, calling themselves prophets are deceivers. The office of the prophets is close when christ came, tell me the truth is there anything they will prophesy that God didn't reveal to us through Christ? God told us everything that shall happen before the end shall come. God already spoke to us about the pass, the present and the future, He left nothing unsaid. Read the four gospels, book of Daniel, book of revelation and you will believe me that all that a prophet is to prophesy had already been reveal to us through Christ. What we called real prophesy today is you taking from what God already revealed to us through christ our Lord, and make it know to the world, this is what we called preaching the gospel. A born again child of God study the word of God, the holy spirit give him or her understanding, then he keep the word of God in his or her hearth, apply the word in his or her day to day life, and speak it out to the world, this is the real prophesy. It depends on how the Lord positioned Himself while He was speaking to you at a moment. God may wants you to hear Him within yourself and He may wants you to hear outside of you, Paul heard the voice of God from the third heaven. Jesus being the Lord God himself, bible said he filled all things, God can choose to be beside you and talk to you, yet He's in you and at the same time sited in heaven, God have a unique nature and characters that is beyond words it explain. Stop making us think God has another person of communication in this last days, God is still speaking the same but in different content. Today God speaks through us in us, He speak to us From heaven as though He's outside of us sits in heaven... that is the uniqueness of His nature. He's in us yet sits in heaven, just as we are in the world physically through our body, yet through our spirit man sits in heaven at the same time Eph 2:6. He can choose to speak to audibly to us by His voice, and can speaks to us through the thought of the heart or through images known as vision, dream etc.
