Thank you for your brilliant video. Btw, I noticed that you used 80 divided by 2 to calculate the median in this video. I was wondering why you chose this method instead of using the GCSE formula, where the median is typically calculated using (n+1)/2. Could you explain the reasoning behind this choice? As cumulative frequency curves are drawn for grouped data (we don’t know the actual figures), any calculation of the median is only an estimate anyway. Therefore when finding the median from cumulative frequency curves, or histograms, or grouped data (linear interpolation), n/2 is usually used… feel free to go back through GCSE papers and their mark schemes and you’ll see n/2 is used. Finding the position of the median: add one or not?

Why do v divide 80 by 4?
