Yes! I have misophonia too but somehow love asmr. The mouth sounds have to be so specific to not gross me out lol and definitely no eating sounds

Omg.same on the eating and mouth sounds. I watched this one video in a nail salon one time and a lady was loudly eating chicken and it was messy and gross. It was making me sick 😂

How did you end up diagnosed with misophonia? I have a friend who has it. A lot of people don't know about it
I don't know if it's something you can truly be diagnosed with unless you talk to your doctor about it and they send a referral to a specialist for a deeper study. I think it's something you just find out on your own and learn to cope with.
One of my siblings has this. We often thought the reaction from the sounds we thought were common were so weird. Things that were everyday just bothered her and would drive her up a wall and, in turn, drive us crazy that she reacted so badly to them. We just happened to ask our family doctor about it and we were told that some people have this and she will need to find coping mechanisms for dealing with these sounds. She's the only person in my family that we know of who's ever had misphonia, and she's also an adult and in her 30s.

I appreciate the first question. I have misophonia as well. Any mouth sounds, repeated words, and tapping make me feel aggressive and rage-y.
I have misophonia and sometimes just the spit sound when people talk or whisper makes me freak out
