Daan Verhoeven you can definitely tell this one was tricky. Really enjoyed the way you extended the final shot in the cenote after she went under that ‘layer’. It was like, oh wow, she’s staying under there, gnarly!

It was so breathtaking! The artistry is phenomenal. The depth is so scary, and dangerous I found myself holding my breath haha! Thank you for another wonderful video.
Wow… it’s a beautiful film! I am so pumped! Arriving in Tulum tomorrow to freedive for 3 weeks straight… Do you edit the video contrast to make the water super clear? Is this maravilha? Thanks Daan…very inspiring ! Love that shadeemus video… did you do any wrecks while in the Yucatan?
they were so intense, when I was in them, light was all I could see. I could not see Daan, or where I had come from, or anything at all, except light. It was really a unique experience.
Well, the first video was at 25 meters deep, so you don't need weights there, and in the second video, she's only wearing a 1.5mm top, so not much buoyancy. Plus she's very muscular and sinky.
ehm, well, i shoot other freedivers, not myself - but i think putting the human form into an underwater environment makes it more relatable to watch for other people. Imagine this video without a human in it: what makes the video is the interaction between a fascinating environment and a skilled human.
@@DaanVerhoeven Thanks for your quick and kind reply. I see. I am enjoying the feeling of achievement when I find and approach close to fish not easy to meet. Thanks again from Korea.

in that first cenote there's a baby croc called Steve, who's quite nice. A few fish in the second one. But there's little to fear if you are trained and educated.
@@Verena.Fleissner.Unlimited some cenotes actually get warmer the deeper you go, due to geothermal energy. But yes, in dives with low visibility the main concern is always sharp obstacles
i explain in the description that we checked with local authorities whether this was stalactites or petrified stalactites, which is rock and far less vulnerable. These have petrified and are ok to (gently) touch.
Wow these locations never get old. Great job on the video, such an incredible edit.

can't lie: she had me worried there for a second! Thankfully she popped up again pretty soon.
Daan Verhoeven didn’t even think about that...whoa! Anyway, y’all did great on this one.

It is wonderful, my thanks Daan & Anna.

it really is! Though filming at 25 meters depth is also a little scary

Nice video, what’s that fog underwater? Do you freedive yourself?
it's called a halocline - where fresh water sits on salt water, and a layer of sulphur forms. And yes, i film everything while freediving

With the amount of bioprene I have now I must be buoyant at 50m.

It seems this was land before, which is now simply covered with water, as if the earth is demanding more exploration of covered old worlds..
i think the cenotes were created by the impact of the meteor that killed the dinosaurs - but i'm not 100% sure about that.

*Why is the flippers almost half the length of his body?*
freediving fins are so long because we want to make the most of our energy input, so a small undulation has a big effect
