So from the wiki, this is (seemingly) false. Basically, if it succeeds, there is one guaranteed gaia world, and all frozen planets become arctic worlds. So if there were any frozen worlds, no, this isn't possible. The other planets in the system are rerolled apparently, so there's a small chance of this happening, but I doubt it.
ASpec What was it for Horror? jump drive? Sorry I haven't encountered one of those in my part of the galaxy yet. Honestly I could use some happiness for my conquered population. I think I'll play the "conquer and commit genocide" game and clean up the house if them grumpy aliens keep nibbling on my income. Btw, Thanks for the videos mate. it's a great help!
Wow, for the price of loosing most of your fleet you get 1000 Minerals and 2000 Energy or a very small planet. Not even a new strong technology...this isn't worth the risk
@@user-nl6xv2fh9f I guess it depends on your Galaxy size and the amounts of available Planets. If you play in a smaller galaxy that's basically claimed pretty fast by all factions, an aditional planet can always be worth risks. If you prefer to play in huge galaxies with more habitable worlds, it's really not that good.
In my case restoring the star made all the planets in the system habitable, on top of turning one of them into the Gaia world. I don't know if I misunderstood your explanation or if mine is an extra lucky outcome.
No idea tbh, baby dragon is nice, I just used the Dreadnaught in this because it spawned together with these Guardians that I still had to do mechanics videos for.
Had a freaking wraith show up in the middle of my fight with this thing! I was holding my own due to having three oversized battleships soaking all the damage and every destroyer set to picket, then the Wraith came in from the side and starting wrecking me.
In 2.7 I geared up for a Devourer on the other side of the galaxy which was surrounded by an ally (within a feasible number of hops) but was delayed by the sudden arrival of the Pretheryn Scourge. For 425 influence and needing to build a gateway, I got a size 21 gaia plus 2 decent tundras with a bonus species to uplift. Planets are a rare luxury now, I have been building only habitats for a 100 years so this system felt like a real jackpot.
Just downloaded the dlc today. I bought some data telling me that there was something for me to explore on the other side of my large four arm spiral Galaxy. I see that it's there waiting and I haven't bothered it yet. Soon.... That will change. Thanks for the heads up on it's weakness.
I had just started a new game and pretty much one of the first systems I send my Science Vessel to? This thing was sitting there waiting for me. I nearly panicked, as it was my first run-in with a Guardian, and I half-expected the damn thing to chase my Science Vessel all the way back to my Capital, I was so relieved when I realized it was going to just stay put. XD
Cool. But I want a baby Stellarite following my fleet around firin its lazor at ppls lol. Any thoughts on why you only get two different planet options though? I go with the trophy myself I find it helps more in my play style but, love to hear thoughts.
Could you do a video on the Horizon signal? I know it's long, I used cheats to get max tech (it doesn't give you the tech you get from events by the way) and it's still taking me some time. Also, could you do one on the spaceborn aliens, the NPC ai that spawn in space; mining drones, space amoebae, Crystalline entities, void clouds, tiyanki (space whales, let's face it, they're space whales), privateers, and nomads. A third video could be done for the enclaves, or the could be joined with another video (like the one above).
Question: It one-shots ships, does that mean it ALWAYS one-shots, or it does a heck of a lot of damage. And if it does one-shot then why bring in the automated dreadnought?
Its main weapon is just a titan beam. Normal titan can survive it and battleships with enough tech can probably do it with a tiny bit of hall left as well, but cruisers and below are one shotted if they are hit. Its an X weapon so it has a really tough time hits corvette, but cruisers and bigger are pretty much out of luck.
@MrJured100 well, that's just the main weapon. It also got secondary weapons which has no issue hitting corvettes. That and your corvettes need to be fairly teched to achieve the 90% evasion in the first place. The goal of bringing corvette is provide something for the titan beam to shoot at, so it doesn't target your battleships.
I was playing a new game and came across the Stellarite Event in a system, and neither the star or the Stellarite were appearing so I just had a system here with no star and the event for it died off after it was discovered. Very weird, but oh well. Maybe next game ha
I got a gaia planet. That monster took 2 of my titans down (doomsday weapons mod/improved space battles mod) and I get a gaia planet... Those things costed like around 20k each.
Hey Aspec, I had come across one of these stellarites and it somehow detonated the star! All of my fleets in the system were destroyed and all the planets became volcanic.
Question for a newer player, will you ever redo these videos about the Leviathans? While it's nice and all, they do fell a bit dated in terms of what can be expected, in part thanks to the combat reworks.
don't know if this is a glitch but a neibboring empire got it spawned in one of thier home systems, (E.I had a bunch of stuff in it.) and well...that was intreasting.

I've read on the Wiki that its Torpedoes are stupidly OP cause of some kinda OP ability they have... shame we can't study those Torps off its cold hot dead corpse...
For me it spawned right inside my fleet and my fleet was moving near a star and i killes it with fricking 12k fleetpower and no battleships is this weird???
The reward is lacking consider the effort put in to fight it. It would be better to have reward like the ether drake event. If ether drake gives unique armor and a chance to get a dragon egg then maybe Stellarit can give a custom energy weapon like a custom Tachyon lance that has low firing rate and accuracy but can 1 shot every ship or dealing immerse damage against low to no shield ships.
So the trophy option is no longer available? (I killed one this morning and only got the option to take energy and minerals, got no "Trophy", and thus did not get the "Stellar Performance" achievement. Or is it random whether you actually get a trophy option?
Seriously? All it says on the achievement is "Take a Trophy from a Stellar Being" - unlike the other government specific achievements like "Peacemaker" and "Suffer not the Alien" which actually TELL you that you need to be Pacifist or Xenophobic, respectively, this one just assumes you'll guess the requirements? Can someone, somewhere, make a list of these kind of limitations? it's frustrating trying to guess what they achievement actually entails. For example, Distinctiveness Added says "As a Driven Assimilator, Own cyborg pops of at least 5 different species" - but my DA game, I now have more than 20 different Cyborged species (not counting the sub-variations of actual species) and the achievement hasn't popped. So you said "40-45K" ship power and I have tried multiple times with a fleet power of 200k and lost without getting even 1/4th of its health each time despite the hints here. It came for me. Then just 1 system away from my home, i defeated it.
Got a gaia planet on my front lawn now.

So I take it that the trophy option is the best outcome for people with already big amount of colony choices.

Can anyone give me an explanation to why I would use auto cannons over regular ballistic weapons? Is it the fire rate that is so nice?
Autocannnons at higher tiers get armour and shield penetration qualities, making them a good, general purpose big-thing-killer.
You dont play this game even once, am i right?
Also yes, A-cannons 100% useless, and even vs corvettes railguns much better.
