What a helpful, insightful and engaging interaction! Thank you so much for bringing Sara in! As a higher ed teacher, I can totally relate to how undervalued teachers are. That was a big reason for me to quit teaching and I haven't regretted it one bit. Since I am from fashion and design background, aesthetics and design orientation are already in place but there's still a lot to learn! Those were very useful tips on how to get free learning content and prepare the resume. Very relatable and great to see such a helpful community doing so much to light the path for others. Great job guys!

I resonate with this so much. I taught high school biology. I love education, science, and teaching, but I was often asked to give up parts of my life for a job where they didn't respect me. I knew I could lose my license, but I was so done with it that I didn't care. Since I've been offered multiple teaching positions.

You're not alone! We work with SO many educators in the bootcamp who are facing burnout. There are options out there, and if ID feels like the right fit for you, it can be a night/day difference :)

I did all of those things too! Including teaching colorguard! It's so exhausting.

I am not sure, Kristina, but if you reach out to Sara Stevick or post about it on the TPLD LinkedIn page, I am sure someone there will be able to help :D

Thank you much for this video, now l know for sure that l want to go into instructional design as a career. To give you a bit of context, l have a Computer Science degree and l went into teaching, but l don't enjoy it and as we all know the pay sucks! So l'm quitting my job at the end of the academic year and taking the plunge! I'm a creative and what l enjoy most about teaching is creating learning resources for my learners so know l will enjoy ID. I can't wait to get started. I know this video was a live video a few months ago but would l by any chance be able to get the lists of free ID courses?

You’re welcome, Victoria! We’re glad to hear that you’d like to become an ID 😃. It’s a great career and the community is very supportive. It sounds like you’d be a great fit for the field, too.
I don’t have the course list, but you may be able to ask this in the TPLD LinkedIn group 😃. Talk to you soon!

    Great information….i
Do you feel there is a need for part time work in instructional design?
    What about remote work?

@@DevlinPeckYT In India, there are two degrees that have been recently introduced. However, there are tonnes of jobs in the market. The field is unstructured.
