    Right now these robots look slow and "robotic" but give it another 10 years or so they will be very fast and fluid. Maybe even uncanny and shocking too.

    It is nice to see a company building robots that aren't weapons of war and oppression, like most companies do. Bosten Dynamics might have started with building robotics to help, but now they are just war profiteers.

    We need some objective way to review, assess and compare all of these humanoid and semi-humanoid robots. Something like a CNet for robots (or CNet, itself could do it). We should not have to depend on heavily edited promotional video snippets from the companies, themselves, to try to figure out which HRs are ahead in each competency. An HR Olympics would also be a good way to directly compare HRs in a variety of different tasks - all of the HR companies of the world would be invited to send their best HRs to participate. Why has no one done this already?

    The humanoid robots are coming into the human world. How exciting it will be as these robots can perform human's repetitive tasks far more efficient. China will be the first country that will welcome humanoid robots in the daily lives as it becomes highly efficient and productive.

    From 0:35 to 1:04 those are not "robots" (International Federation of Robotics), they are merely "human-operated remote manipulators".
    Progress is happening but this video does not demonstrate any engineering "major breakthrough" in the world of robotics.
    CGTN, please produce long-form technical videos for professional engineers and not just 90-second snapshots; China has an enormous array of achievements that you should be covering in-depth.

    can robot get into car by himself?

    • @sarahlee9979
      @sarahlee9979 13 годин тому

      1. a 'human' car or a car designed for robot (of specific form factor)? ... two different problems.
      2. does 'robot' needs to "get into car" as it can simply remote control the car?

    Commercial robots will bring in real revenue to motivate further research in robotics to make it better. These companies need some form of returns to thrive in the future. Unlike Wall Street, Chat GPT and the many LLMs are still losing monies in a big way..only Wall Street investors are confident that there are the future. Let us wait and see how AI will transform the digital age and which business will me moneymaking

    • @joseph_wei
      @joseph_wei День тому +5

      Their battery technology is behind, both Boston dynamics and Tesla, also their robots are a lot more expensive. In fact the Chinese robotic industry was built on the fact Boston dynamic robots were so expensive, a small robot dog costs upwards of $75K.

    • @CoPilot-o7w
      @CoPilot-o7w День тому

      @@DrSpooglemon the tesla's humanoid has been progressing exponentially. The best scientists and engineers all over the world work at Tesla. Theyre not just copying design. They're truly building robots from scratch. Just like Xiaomi can't stand a chance against Apple.

    • @CoPilot-o7w
      @CoPilot-o7w День тому +1

      @@joseph_wei the fact about most Chinese companies is that they like to cut corners. I know chinese companies that sell cheap robots also sell better quality ones. You should ask yourself why Boston didn't participate in the race to the bottom. Do you really believe a robot that costs below 2,000usd could outperform a 75,000 dollar robot? Don't be so naive
