Atreus' mother was a Giant, not mortal, so he's part Giant after her, and part god and part mortal after Kratos, whose mother was human and his father was a god. Kratos can speak the language, he just can't read it. Also Athena didn't give him the boots, he cut off Hermes' legs and took the boots himself. The blades are still in the game and used later in the story. Why are you doing a video about facts when you don't even know the facts?

Yes, but they are not human. He says in the video that the boy is human after his mortal mother, which is incorrect, because his mother was a giant. He is part human after Kratos. That's what I meant.

Does anyone fact check these scripts? It's excusable to make mistakes here and there, but it's kinda nuts to screw up major plot points that are known by simply playing the game.

So there is just a cut-scene with them where you fight or there is a completely new combat system because if they do that I will be really surprised...
This was the best GoW game I have played. Loved a bigger story along with the combat but also the father/son dynamic and how the grow over their journey.

One Hell of a game can not wait till the next
I feel like the next game will be on 2021 since it states three winters right? Starts in 2018, second winter is 2019, and third winter is 2020 and after those winters cones Ragnarök which then we have a perfect line up for 2021 which can kickstart the multiverse with the battle of Thor then the travel rune is used the same way as Týr to escape and they go to the next mythology...sounds plausible
I do hope that one those mythologies was the aztec mythology

In Norse mythology, Thor was the son of Odin (who himself was half giant) and a giantess. On a technically he is as only his dad is technically a god. He is biologically 1/4 god 3/4 giant.

Having *not* played the original God Of War series, I've seen all videos, read all the stories... and I'm GLAD I didn't played them, and just got a PS4 to play this one....this is MY God Of War.
God of War Ghost of Sparta is AFTER God of War 1, Kratos is already a God when he decides to look for Deimos.

I don't think I could be happier with this game as far as game play goes. There's a few things that could have added to it, but its awesome without those things anyways. There's a couple parts of the story that were slightly disappointing (the direction they sent Freya mainly) but its still just so awesome as far as game play goes which wins it for me. The only down side is I'm not sure that any other game will ever be able to live up to this one for me now. If anyone knows of any though please feel free to share.

I was hesitant when I heard they were going Nordic with this sequel, as how different pantheons of gods could exist at the same time was a big thing for me..
But after they revealed the new look and Chris judge as kratos, my fears lessened and my excitement skyrocketed. Chris judge is an underrated actor.
But this take on Kratos is fantastic.

God of War is probably one of my favorite video game franchises, solely because of Kratos.
I like him because you can tell from the very start of the first God of War, that he's not going to be your typical chilvarous noble. Just an angry, broken man who wants to forget his past. You can Still see part of that in the latest game. He wants to forget his hatred towards the Greek Gods and Become better than them.
Gotta love those kinds of characters.

Xavier Robinson Yes. Kratos' brother (Deimos) had a birth mark of a stripe. Zues knew/learned of a prophecy where a marked demigod would rise into Godhood and slay all of the Gods of Olympus so Zeus ordered Ares and Athena to kidnap Deimos (the supposed future slayer of the Gods) so that he isn't able to grow strong enough to fulfill this prophecy. THEN Kratos tattood himself resembling his brother's birth mark who he thought was dead (Deimos was actually being tormented by the God of Death) in order to honor his brother. (Kratos later reunites with his younger brother and they both manage to slay and defeat The God of Death; Thanatos; But Deimos dies in the process).
Kratos skin is white because the "Oracle" who saw Kratos future burned the ashes of his murdered wife and daughter by his own hand onto his skin; Thus proclaimed him "The Ghost Of Sparta"
How recommended is it for me to play the previous God of War Games, before I play this one?
Lil Eyes not highly. His past is still within the story but it's not highly important to play this game. For this is a new trilogy

Just watch the IGN's video on the story of first three games. It explains majority of Kratos's past.
I'd still recommend them just because they're good games.
Lil Eyes you wont get the full experience , some scenes in this game will make you emotional if you played the the previous games

The big fact is God Of Wars clearly another great PS4 and Single Player game (better then any Multiplayer and/or XBox Exclusive will ever be having shown the markets strong for Sony and Single Player and not Xbox and Multiplayer (and gamers are increasingly only into Single Player games like Playstation Exclusives).

Atreus got his name from a fellow Spartan who always stayed positive and filled his fellow Spartans with Hope even in death. Thats the story behind his name.

A fact you have missed was that in order to give Kratos his Muscular build was that the graphic designers use a live model to aid them in the details and it was none other than former wwe wrestler Shad Gaspard back in 2018 and even done some of the stunts and motion capture for the God of War
