There is a timelessness in much of the great Russian literature that makes it feel forever relevant. This piece is a wonderful example. Thank you for your discernment and your wonderful performance.

That was lovely, Tony. Well narrated. Chekhov is wonderfully complex and needs at least 2 or 3 listens to comprehend the tale. Thank you. Subscribed to this new channel, as well as all your others.

I miss your ramblings. But a good story that makes one ponder, well read.

I may at some point ramble about these stories, but lovers of classic literature are very particular and less forgiving of schoolboy errors than lovers of ghost stories and detectives.

Ugh! Every so often I try to like Checkhov and every time I’m disappointed. He has nothing new and startling to say, brings no new light to the human condition. I always end up say to myself “duh”, yes, and……. !
Loathed the dull story but must say it was beautifully read.

Don't LOOK for " what he has to say", instead
      listen/read his text🙂 🧐
