    I was playing this game and discovered that making a fully closed room is much better for planting crops as it protects them from disasters and they grow even in winters as long as there is stable temperature ... its like making a greenhouse and also making a hole 4 layers downwards and digging a tunnel to make several 5x5 rooms makes excellent storage basements where you can store nearly all the stuff, I have 10 villagers and 800 beetroots, 300 carrots, 400 meat, 300 healing herbs and much more ... also for defense ... build walls around your base(wood walls will do) and have all archers on top ... will defend your base best (survived full onslaughts with just 6-7 flimsy short bows vs 8-10 fully armoured troups), it seems like a tough game at first but don't give up and keep trying and discovering .... happy playing and good luck 😊👍

    On the last part where you mentioned the braziers for heating rooms, you say they will not turn them to optimized heated rooms, but at least to livable.
    I want to correct you here. You can build more than 1 brazier and the temperatures will go up further. In winter i often have up to 3 braziers in a room and they got heated to 25 °C. :) You can fine tune then with opening and closing windows, too.

    • @perafilozof

    Question on hunting game : if all deers are hunted will they respawn anyway ? also do Wolwes kill them ?

    • @perafilozof
      @perafilozof  3 роки тому +1

      Hello Roybon and thank you for following my channel for so long. Wolves will only attack deers when they spawn as an event. Regular Wolves should not kill deer. You can hunt them all as they respawn off map and come onto the map to reproduce. So the more you hunt them the more will you have to wait before they increase in numbers. Try to hunt them separately, some rabbits, then deer, then wolves. By the time you go back to rabbits they should have their numbers back. Hunt wolves with 2 or more settlers at the same time.

    • @perafilozof
      @perafilozof  3 роки тому

    Space Saving Storage Tip: Use shelves in your Cooler for Food and Perishable resources. Shelves hold 3 Tiles worth of materials, in the space of 1 tile, and extend the _Shelf Life_ of items stored in them. Plus, like your Dumping Storage, Shelves Priority level can be set from Low to Very High. I set mine to High Priority in the Root Cellar, for Food and cooking resources. Great Hall and Dinning Halls are set to Very High for food.

    For some reason that i still don't know, when i send one(and i said one, not a hunting party) i draft him/her, and directly control him/her, and from here i found an exploit for archers/hunters or anyone shooting a bow or crossbow, during the cooldown between shots, you can force that specific settler to move(even if you stopped the time, if you force them, the exploit still works) and the cooldown will disappear and you can then force them to shoot the prey. Pretty much nullifying the cooldown thing.
    This also works against raiders.

    Trees so early are absolutely unnecessary. If you deforest your map it will be years before you run out of wood. Especially since trees respawn.

    • @perafilozof
      @perafilozof  3 роки тому

      Hello Raziel and welcome to my channel. You might think that, but here is my experience: 1. You cut trees from your base towards the edges of the map. This increased travel time, and creates long hauling distances. 2. If you are on a mountain map there won't be many trees growing on it naturally 3. Planting trees close by makes it fast to go to them, cut them down and bring the resources back to base.

    • @raziel29a
      @raziel29a 3 роки тому +1

      @@perafilozof absolutely, those 3 are perfectly valid reasons to do that :) my issue was with reasoning: "plant early or there will be no wood on your map". Living in the valley I was perfectly fine with trees just naturally growing close to my base for the first 5-6 years. Another great advice: don't chop down entire forests, chop random trees selectively and you'll always have a fresh forest near your base. They grow back as long as there are trees nearby.

    • @perafilozof
      @perafilozof  3 роки тому

      Indeed, that is also good advise. Cutting down everything in a large area would prevent old trees from helping new seedlings be grown. About the phrase I used... it's sometimes better to make a broad statement because if I go too much into the details the whole subjects becomes to complicated to follow in a tips video for new players. So if I say that, and they follow my advise they will play more carefully.
