Thankfully the smart people come out with new technology and procedures and what not “everyday “. But the beauty industry has so much suffering that’s completely unnecessary. I was shocked a year ago to learn that clinical testing gives more accurate results tested on human skin and that it’s also cheaper due to the cost of animal food and other needs of the animal. It is outrageous that they still do it
@@petrieberries no technology will ever replace testing on animals. Don't get me wrong i don't like the idea of testing on animals but i'm aware there's no alternative and will never be. People forget how many lives have been saved by medicine or vaccines that were tested on animals.
Some children may never have survived with them medicines.

That's when I also learned that "debarking" was a thing, through a rescue in Northern California who specializes in the dogs in testing facilities, mostly (as I haven't seen other breeds) beagles...... How you could do that as your job just floors me....

This video both infuriated me and uplifted me. Animal testing is not needed! Most medical breakthroughs have resulted from other methods such as computer models, cell cultures, and epidemiological studies. Animal testing is human arrogance at its most disgusting. I'm glad this beautiful, sweet pup made it out alive and is now cared for by humans with compassion! ❤

my lab beagle has also blossomed absolutely beautifuly. these past 2 and a half years with him have been the best of my life. it’s so great seeing how comfortable he is these days compared to how he was back the :( we need to end animal testing. it is unnecessary.

Without animal testing, myself and all kids who are diagnosed with Type I diabetes would be dead within 2-3 months after diagnosis.
Ending all animal testing will cost human lives. It's important that people calling for that understand the consequences.
Does it need to be better regulated, yes. Should some areas that use animals to research stop, yes. Do we need to update our animal welfare laws, yes.

We had our lab rescue for 12 years. The first time she touched grass was on our farm. It didn't take her very long to adjust to her new life, and she became the boss dog of the farm. She packed so much personality into her 13 inch frame.

A friend of mine has an ex-lab Beagle. He was “only” tested on (I mean abused!) for 10 months, but the impact was huge! He is still afraid of men and has many other issues. My friend is experienced in ex-lab Beagles so she will help him 100% but my heart bleeds for all those poor animals, worldwide, who are still suffering. 😭

When I was a child, I saw a segment on the news about animal testing - oven cleaner being shoved down a dog's throat, more dogs, all with their vocal chords slit - I don't have to tell you why they were sliced, right? I was about 6 and I was HORRIFIED while having no understanding of the concept of animal rights. A CHILD. And I immediately understood the evil of it. Well, that's all I have to say to ya.
