You did a fantastic job at capturing the true beauty of Greewich Ct. Lived there since I was pre teen to adult year's, I must say there is no other town like Greenwich. Best place to raise a family! Not to mention, the police truly care about the residents and shop owners of Greenwich. One downside, don't eat out too often if your trying to budget, but definitely give all the restaurants a try!
@Midwest Kandi definitely! Make sure to do a little research before going as some places/events may have been canceled to to COVID-19. If you live close by, a day trip is all you need!
I grew up, lived and worked in Greenwich. I remember when everyone knew everyone, having bike races down Greenwich Ave., sailing courses at Indian Harbor, and winter sledding at Bruce Park. Sadly, the beautiful old-money estates were broken up to build mini-mansions for the neuvorish, and Greenwich Ave. became the Rodeo Drive of the East. Thanks but no thanks. My wife and I took our kids out of that environment and moved North to a small town in VT. We occasionally visit friends in Greenwich, but you couldn't pay me enough to move back. The old Greenwich I'd dead and gone.
Who knows. Maybe they died and their heirs sold off the estates to developers. The point is, the class of the old-money Greenwich has morphed into the one-up-manship of the low class neuvorich.
@@backwoods6050 it’s very common for these entitled young children, who have never really had to work hard a day in their lives to completely sell everything off and waste their parents old money. I used to work in Greenwich around 2009 and I didn’t get that rodeo drive, new money vibe from the majority of the women only some of them, and they seemed to be part of the wealthiest families. I have met some very rude people in Greenwich with poor manners, but I also believe that they don’t believe their manners are poor they just don’t know any better. You can pay for school, but you cannot buy class. Seem to like almost no one was happy and I couldn’t understand why😂 some of the classiest, and most polite women I have ever met, were actually from Beverly Hills, even living on rodeo drive. I love Vermont, I used to stay there for months at a time, especially in 2020z
well thanks to people like you coming in and driving the real estate prices up over the years you have priced out all us who grew up in the working class areas of byram glenville and chickahomani thank you so much
Greenwich always has been a wealthy town. Just cuz you can’t afford it doesn’t mean it’s other peoples fault. Worker harder and smarter to fit in or leave!
No he's right. Byram, Grenville, and chickahomani were always the affordable working class areas and now those houses are a million a piece. Those areas were so middle class that the super rich kids thought Byram was the hood. 15 years ago any couple making over 100k (combined) could own a house there. Now, that won't even cover rent. Those houses aren't even super luxurious. they're old, outdated and standard American looking houses. The owners have also chopped them up and made them into tiny apartments which doesn't help either. I left Greenwich years ago, I still love it and I plan on moving back but it takes some serious work and money to afford a fucking closet in Greenwich. People want to charge $1500 for a 300sq ft "Apartment" that's just a converted attic that doesn't even have a kitchen.
@@nickzeug2823 yep moved to stratford years ago could afford it kind a like byram just more working class then byram now still work in greenwich for the town but stratford is nice commute sucks but what are you gonna do the last of my siblings let byram after my dad passed 2 years ago and moved up here so the smarts are gone from greenwich!
