21k subscribers, and this went up in 2018, and there’s only north of 8k views. What, is this being kept some kind of secret? UA-cams analyticals and algorithms need a kick in the butt!

I am unclear of what the current data is for testosterone and prostate cancer.
Is testosterone blocking frowned upon and supplemental testosterone encouraged?
There is a huge difference here... what is right treatment.

I am interested in learning more about this. Is there a way to consult with Dr. Aurback on my personal situation? I live in Delaware so going to his office is difficult at the moment.

That was quite confusing. Was he talking about patients who had had the prostate removed? I thought testosterone was a no no as it feeds the cancer?

It’s just the opposite of what I hear now with hormone therapy

I have high volume Gleason 6 with 50% in one core, 25% in another and 6 core's with from 1% to 5% so it seems to be high volume in two core's. I am severely hypogonadal with T in the 40's to 50's so I use replacement. I stopped for 4 months and was an emotional basket case. I cannot live a quality of lifewithout replacement. I plan on having brachytherapy but have had issues with sleep apnea, claustrophobia and severe pain laying on my back so I had to be sedated with profolol but was woken up because my O2 dropped (sleep apnea) So I did not get the MRI I will not stop testosterone unless the next biopsy shows a big change and may stop for the brachytherapy. So is it possible to do brachy without an MRI? Maybe use the biopsy template and CT scan's? Seems a shame I must have an MRI So it is two issues here testosterone and not being able to have MRI

I might add my prostate has always been large hence my PSA averages 4-1 to 5-1 with 5.1 being my score last month. The only time it was high 7.7 was when I had infections so 5.1 is kinda normal

@@ThePCRI Thank you for the phone message. My radiological oncologist said he can treat me without the MRI I stopped injections to hopefully reduce my prostate size (volume 62) However, I want to re start TRT after radiation. Point is I feel rotten, I mean horrible without testosterone. Tuesday Oct 13th 2020 I get my blood test about 51 days after my last injection. I imagine he will test my T levels and PSA my last PSA was 5.1 I hope we can begin treatment soon. I suppose external beam radiation.

Testosterone is a protective source for your prostate against cancer...this subject is studied heavily in Asia..especially Japan and Vietnam , trt are given as a preventive in these countries. I'm no doctor though

Did you have your prostate removed or just treated with radiation?

What are the eligibility criteria (in general, or according to Dr. Auerbach) for a man to receive testosterone replacement post-treatment?
