Hi, No the batteries are most of the time included and shipped with the device. The App is free. A Pro version is there to add "Background mode" and to remove ads.
this is the best app for the itag device, because when the device is near it connect automatic, the other apps after it disconnect never connect again, also it say in real time who far is, to me after test several is the only one working
Does this work with GPS or with Bluetooth? do I need to buy an extra sim? which is the range of the tracker? If I use it for pet tracking can I get the position of my pet whenever I want (without needing to act on the device)?
Think the video is more about the App then the Tag. The tag is just a Bluetooth device, its the app that can make a difference. I am considering returning mine.
the iTag is a poor Bluetooth low energy device without any GPS inside. The loc is only provided by your phone GPS when in proximity of the iTag. All BLE keychain work the same manner. iTags are worth trying because they are cheap sooo cheap !

try to use it with IFTTT or Automate. It's a little complex at the beginning but when you master it you can do pretty much what you want. Put an iTag into your car, push the button it will start google maps anf launch your trip to your home "magically" or use it with Automate and setup a magic candle : ua-cam.com/video/YVPlcz_0l4Q/v-deo.html

My itag keeps beeping when i go to another room
It would be good if you held the phone. Can't see n e thing.
There is nothing to see on the phone. Everything is done in the background. The only user action is to press the tag's button !
@@freedom2000 i ment that i could not see what you were doing on your phone in your video so it was hard for me to follow what you were doing.
