21 minutes before gameplay: "Commander versus slowly transforming into a show where four dudes are just hanging out and talking about magic..." I ain't complaining though, the guys are entertaining :)!
It's like how Top Gear felt, you watched it because it was a car show...but the cars weren't the main reason you watched
Haha yeah!
Loved the idea behind choosing your commanders! Definitely would like to see this more often while Dominaria boosters are still widely available.
Also, Jeremy had the line of the day:
“I just want to go home and tell my wife how mean Justin was to me”.
Not going to lie, best cliffhanger ever was when Justin went “and this is how we accrue points. It has nothing on it... except!” And then it cut to an ad
Man, look at that fancy asterisk
Never had the Legendary Tribal permanent though...
There is no legendary tribal permanent though.
Exarch-of-Sechrima hence he could never complete the quest
he could've animated a Diviner's Wand then hit it with In Bolas's Clutches, or controlled
Leyline of Singularity with it out
Was it on the battlefield? yes! Was it put into the graveyard? Yes! Both conditions fulfilled, therefore Tiana triggers. Sorry but its not that hard to figure out. Tiana gives all enchantments and equipment the "rancor" clause.
Justin wins the true blue way. By making all players wish they hadn't even shuffled up their cards. 1:39:44 for the summation of that feeling.
Love it when Justin wins even when it's super durdley (spelling?). You're my favorite player, keep doin what you're doin ❤
That no block at 39:32 when you have a flying and first strike xD
@37:45 Jon - you could have Dawn Charm, Lapse of Certainty, Mana Tithe, or Rebuff the Wicked.
I love how Justin just casually fulfilled one of Jon's roles with that Rite of Replication.
Holy crap!! Stephen and Jeremy that part about singing was funny as hell.
I was one of the last ten to make it all the way through! Great episode guys! Keep up the great content!
I have a dream that one day they will have eight or more different names for the Coliseum and they will use one of mine. I know you guys saw them from the other videos. Director Kyle you had the chance to use one at the end and you let me down. But I appreciate the attempt. #aimlessauditorium #stageofoddities#enclosureofenigmas #elbanditorandito
El bandito randito is so good!
Damn, May 23 2018 (probably earlier) Jonathan Suarez "They're not gonna ban Deathrite Shaman in Legacy"
Justin going 'Yeah. What's going on?' at 31:50 is hilarious. He tired of your shenanigans Jeremy
I was hoping they would use packs as a way of choosing a commander at some point. The extra points idea was awesome! #teamgreen #scoops #enclosure of enigmas
I like the idea of extra points i don't like extra points when you get a random general. As I felt real bad for Steven, as you can see white red has what like 4 maybe 5 ways to take an extra turn and with red they say lose the game after. Where other people got things that are extremely simple no matter what your color is like Justin and the exile 50 as you can see he got it down with colorless now Steven could have down some weird infinite extra turn combo in colorless with magistrate's scepter but good luck with that.
Tyler Gehring I like the idea of dealing out multiple secret objectives, where the players are required to pick which to keep. There's a number of games that work this way (from Ticket to Ride to Twilight Imperium), and it helps solve the issue of getting stuck with something untenable.
Eric Funk I would agree completly though at least in ticket to ride nothing is impossible but in edh certain colors are pretty much out of luck for getting some of these challenges john got lucky he got white as unless you play the colorless angel I believe only white and black have can't lose the game cards.
I used to think the way everyone targeted Justin was unwarranted
I find it funny that justin plays a card called impulse and one of the adds for a movie is called impulse
Those hidden role cards are freaking hilarious.
You have a Waste, you have a Waste, you have a Waste, I have a Waste! Are there any other Wastes I should know about?
Kozilek: "Meow."
"This will signify the evil of what you have", lol. Bless you Stephen Green.
"No flying goats that I know of" Ikoria says hi
The hidden roles videos are the best
1:30:00. Does Justin get a point for saving Jonathan from himself?
1:24:55 well actually that’s said exactly 50 you exiled 51 doesn’t count
This was great. Always live the Random goodness :D
Interesting game but near the middle there were multiple open attacks at different player that were not taken, I'm pretty sure nezehal doenst have flying, I like the style that austere command really rebalance the board and gave justibg the opening for the win
Also, Great DBZ "Last time" narrator voice. 10/10
Crazy Combo Parnell is my FAVORITE Parnell. I love everything that happened in the last 30 minutes of the game or so.
Kevin Lemley its my least favorite. He does it well but i usually check out whenever combo happens.
Finally got to see Paradox/Wizard deck.
When Justin plays blue we all get sad. Great vid tho :D
I always look forward to the Always Sunny references
Can someone explain how jeremy gets 11 mana the turn he casts decree?
Nykthos adds 6 (3 from razaketh, 2 from skeletal vamp and 1 from magus), then he pays 2 to activate magus with 4 floating to add 5 for his swamps. 4 floating plus 5 is 9 mana.
My body is ready to see red white taking turns turns 😂😂😂
Man, sweet episode. Love the hidden roles causing people to add weird cards.
#TeamParnell #BlackManaMatters #TribalisaType #Chaosciceum #Stephen"WeakHands"Green
@1:04:33 did Justin draw a card when Stephen cast Hyena Umbra?
Awesome was hoping you guys would do the dominaria booster challenge!
I love the hidden roles idea.
Justin u didn’t control a Legendary Sorcery when u said u completed ur 2 points spin
At 1:31:30 did Jon just illegally cast Kwende for 8 mana instead of 10 so he could get the extra point?
Exarch-of-Sechrima Good catch! I was so defeated by Justin's shenanigans that I couldn't math correctly. We'll have to get that adjusted.
you sir are a cheater, don't make excuses!!! cheater!!!! you are a cheating dude!!!! a dude that cheats!!!
This seems excessive even as a joke
Tyler Gehring No worries. I have the thickest of skin regardless of whether this is a joke or not
Jonathan Suarez we can tell the camera shows. Jk bro love you haha.
what sleeves do you guys use?
By the way, Tribal is a card type. Supertypes never have subtypes.
I come for the magic, stay for the Always Sunny references #theimplications
Jeremy took over 40 seconds for a card he never needed and never played. Should have at least got something out to refuel his hand or board state. That's why you gotta think ahead of time before using tutors
Meh just pick the prettiest arts.
38:00 that's a magus of the coffers, not a gauntlet on a stick :p
Man, the sad state of that Tiana deck. Can tell he gave up on her before even building the deck.
JoelBurger coulda named his deck "Memories of Jor-Kadeen"
Commanders are super mysterious but they end up leaking the commander names in the first second of video x_x
Fantastic intro.
I hope Jeremy's wife conforted him after he told her how mean Justin was
Also, steven really did get screwed with his extra point options. If he had had blue it would have been easy with cards like expropriate and such.
Why not just not make infinite archaomancers by copying the mancer, getting back copy spell and being neutral on mana with engine
Come on slimefoot!
I like how the word "Slimefoot" triggered this bot response.
Myke Tison's Paunch Off on the Saga
[Filler comment to satisfy conditions of watching on UA-cam]
So justin... i feel you havnt been remembering your roots this season. You need to remember where you came from. I have an idea for a deck i think will make up for this blight. Its an insect tribe mazirek kraul death preist deck i feel youd just fall in love with.
@Jeremy just looking into Stevens eyes like a father into his poor child's eyes after his dreams have been crushed, it's alright boy we will go get some ice cream.
Anyone know why the new episode isn’t up yet?
"Known hand biter STEPHEN GREEN"
im just tryin to lower the brightness on my dagum laptop, and then I hit the number 9 on my keyboard on accident, and what in tarnation
I hope next time we do the extra points idea I hope its not random generals, it seems almost silly to bother pursing those extra points if it's nigh impossible.

I can't find the commander vs movie, someone link pls
One secret role should be the sabotage. That player knows all the other players goals and his role is to prevent them from happening
Most of the time if I had tuned into a video to watch magic and I was 20 minutes in and they still hadn't played a magic card, I would be pissed. This series though, this is the exception. Bantastic
I'm okay with it because they're talking about Magic, their decks, and bantering in general instead of, say, advertising. Lol
At around 1:06:30, I think Jeremy would draw a card from Stephen's commander being destroyed. I think Decree of Pain only cares if the creature is destroyed not if it dies. Not that it would make a huge difference in the end. Just in case this situation happens in the future.
Never mind I forgot Stephen's commander was enchanted. I don't know how that interaction works (Decree of Pain and Totem Armor) but I am curious.
It's very simply never gets destroyed and never goes to the graveyeard, so you don't draw from it.
fuseverse What does the graveyard have to do with, Decree of Pain only cares if the creature is destroyed not if it dies.
The GY part isnt necessary, I was thinking about a diff card. But, it never gets destroyed, so he doesn't draw. Thats the answer. Look up Totem Armor on MTG wiki to understand more if still confused.
so we can just stop watching at 1:22:00 ??
SHANTAY YOU STAY
The amount of happy I felt by that Drag Race reference is unmeasurable.
jon suarez, best turn 1 play ever.
"You get all this value!" "And then what?" Always my problem when building a deck. Lol
Where is the new episode for this week though??
So I wasn’t watching why was Jeremy begin target for no reason?
Comment... I love this idea of pulling commanders from random out of packs :)
i'm petitioning to make the Chaosiseum the new name for this
I submit Susan's Divining Top as another name for the Susan Surandom.
Technically Justin Saved Jonathan, so he should get a point for that.
He really didn't save him as he was the one killing him in the first place. It was Justin creature that was killing him so he shouldn't get a point for saving a player he is directly killing.
**Technically** I was only maiming him, not killing him.
Tyler Gehring I disagree he attacked, but it wasn't lethal. Stephen's actions made the attack lethal and then Justin saved Jonathan by stopping Stephen.
Garth Michel yes but it was Justin's creature that gained the double strike yes Steven gave it double strike but it was entirely Justin's creature does the killing
To Justin's knowledge he wasn't going to be killing Jon, Stephen was the one who made it lethal and then Justin saves Jon. I think Justin gets a point.
Feel like in this game you guys did not do the focus onto the right players at many times :s
and that's why you kill the mono blue deck first. By the time it looks like a threat he has complete control of the game and there's nothing anyone can do.
Jeremy lost a point so Justin your wrong
No episode this week?
nice one whisper!
Missed opportunity. Should've killed someone and then restart the game with Karn to bring them back for one point for saving someone :p.
STEVIE GREEN my girlfriend wants the shirt off your back...like the literal shirt you are wearing in this video.
plz advise
Now that Dominaria is out, what about a Commander VS with the 4 Demon Lords of the Liliana Vess story? And what about each one with the support of an additional color (WB, UB, RB and GB decks)?
Demonlord Belzenlok
Griselbrand
Kothophed, Soul Hoarder
Razaketh, the Foulblooded
Vicente Andrés Quesada Mora the problem with that is - one of them is significantly more powerful than the others.
Maybe each one with an additional color? Like, for example (I don't know what's the weaker combination with B in Commander):
Demonlord Belzenlok
WB
Griselbrand
UB
Kothophed, Soul Hoarder
RB
Razaketh, the Foulblooded GB
Vicente Andrés Quesada Mora Giving blue to Griselbrand is worse....actually, any color is worse.
there would have to be a crazy handicap to balance it. Maybe all the decks EXCEPT Griselbrand get an extra color. and start with a land in play. Even then....
Legendary homoculus in battlebonds just for director Kyle West
I'M HERE! I MADE IT!
No commander this week? :o
twitter.com/JParnell1/status/1001840447420026880
i will point out, kinda crap to see only 1 person do any of their hidden agendas....
yeah because of the way they did it accomplishing them made it hard, like how was Stephen meant to take that many extra turns?
Monk Merlin Isochron Scepter with a Final Fortune imprinted on it. Then either have a Platinum Angel in play or a Sundial of the Infinite to end the turn in response to Final Fortune's delayed trigger. This way he gets to take as many turns as he wants.
@@dylanschleben5558 Also there's Last Chance and Warrior's Oath that do the same thing. And that's before you get into artifacts like Magistrate's Scepter and Gonti's Heart.
Can we not get a 4 person Brawl, but instead have Stephens, Anderson, Nelson and Merriam fill in for the other 4? Fan requested Commanders, built by Commander Vs crew, piloted by the named players. Just my thought. The other guys haven't been able to try out 4 person Brawl and after seeing Ghalta stomp Bolas today, they need to be able to see the other side of that game. Food for thought.
Man, that just stopped being a game after Justin's big turn. I'd have just gotten up and left at that point.
Where’s this weeks episode?
twitter.com/JParnell1/status/1001840447420026880
Besides Triple H? Stone Cold Steve Austin used beer, which is mostly water.
This is why blue needs to have at least one, if not two things removed from its repertoire. In two turns, Justin became the only person playing the game.
Justin is like only I get to play magic.
Why wouldn’t he ultimate ugin am I missing something
What can i say except You're Welcome
I’m just upset Justin didn’t make 100000000 archaeomancers and win with those.
Stephn had a free block on vendilion clique with his commander lol
Stephen had The Fear, so he couldn't block.
befuddle is a real magic card!
Some of these roles were not reasonable either because they cause the game to be unfun to watch (Win at 0 or less) or because they are impossible if you don't get the right color(s) (take 4 consecutive turns).
What I would suggest for a future randharmonicon would be to tuck the roles into the decks after they've been built with the challenge being the guys don't know the decklists. Or roles that can be completely achievable with the right artifacts.
damn mr. parnell was on fire this time
Never trust wizards LOL My Inalla wizard tribal wins the same way: very sneakily:P
There is a flying goat, kinda. they where in tarkir block.
