I use a combination of Trade Republic, Revolut and Commerzbank. I needed a german IBAN immediately and commerzbank were the only ones that didn’t ask me for my tax ID or residence permit (i had a 6 month working visa)

@@mmcl10 If you don't spend more money than you have, you never have to deal with interest. I believe KT Bank has Islamic banking tho I probably should make a video about credit cards :)
@maxyoko You know that there can be positive interest though, right? For example at my Sparkasse I've always gotten 0.05% of interest on my money even in the Girokonto. This isn't halal. Typically you get interest on a Tagesgeldkonto though, not a Girokonto. As someone who provides financial advice like this video online, you should definitely know about interest on deposited cash
Just check with the bank, most Girokonten (which are type of account he talked about in the video) don't give you any interest for having your money there. Of course there is interest to be paid when you are in debt though.

You usually need a B2 certificate for Hochschule München :)
