I cycled up the Corrieyairack Pass in the Summer in the daylight and that was a challenge in itself - to do it in the pitch black at the end of an epic ride in October is another level - Incredible cinematography considering the conditions - great video
Josh, I’m with you since a long long time, and I have to say , your videos are getting better and better. Absolutely fantastic job again. Congrats on the achievement! 😎
Great video and enjoyed reliving it from the comfort of a fire and chair.. good meeting you on the route, thanks for letting me sleep while you packed up!!! Mikee
Absolutely great video. Such views! Certain points I wish I could be there, then the next I am so happy I'm not there😂 those hikeabikes look awful. I would have just laid down and cried. bloody well done, sir.
Nice video. Love the camban bothy, my dad helped re-roof it in the 1960s as a memorial to Philip Tranter who was a good climber sadly killed in a car crash. Tranter gave his name to Tranter around and his variations to Naismith rule. Anyway, sorry for the random history lesson. Keep making nice films.
No need to apologise. I appreciate the history lesson. It was such a nice bothy and I hope to get back up there to sleep one day. It’s great that we’ve got people like your dad.
@Josh-Reid it was a wonderful experience, very hot midday so would tend to rest and siesta, the last 80 km was spectacular just about all up hill, as you know, rode through the night under the milky way, the stars seemed to over lap. Had a few issues with mechanics and punctures but the kindness of strangers kept me moving.
@@Josh-Reidgreat video, made me late for work watching it this morning!! Did I spot redshift kitchen sink bars on your revolt, been looking at some for my revolt the shape of the defuse bars isn't ideal for accessories, did the exposure bar fit straight on?
@@MatthiasSpohr-x3r sorry for making you late for work. Yeah it’s the redshift kitchen sink. I had to use a bigger spacer for the exposure mount to work but is great no issue with the light being blocked by my bar bag.
Video stupendo..
Very nicely narrated and the filming was spectacular! Well done! I have to ask you what type of front light you are running. A monster - does it work really well!
Hey Josh, thanks for this truly inspiring video. Can you tell us more about your rain gear and if you would recommend it? Did you use shoe covers? Thank you
Chapeau Josh and all the other riders that looked physically and mentally tough. Notice you weren't using the Coros Dura in this video and was wondering will you be doing a review of it? Im mainly interested in the map page and how good it is to move around the map using the touchscreen, is it like you would on your phone or is it a bit more basic? Thanks Craig
Loving the Mike Hall/Trainspotting intro. Some of those hike-a-bike/river crossings looked grim. 😅 Did that pass as part of the Badger 🦡 divide ➗ in the daytime though. But where did you get those tyres 🛞- in the skip? 😆 #TrailAngels #BonusSnickers
I think I was just unlucky with the tyres. First time I’ve ever had a sidewall cut. In hindsight I should have taken it easier down the first section and maybe bigger tyres. 45s would have been better.
Nope not ditched. I switch between the Corus and the Garmin 1040 solar. But those are the only two that work for me with battery life especially when it’s an event likely to have rain.
Josh, you may well have mentioned this in a previous video, and if so apologies. What is the orange jacket you're wearing in this video? Jackets are the bit of cycling gear I struggle most to dial in
Don’t suppose anyone has any insight to one of the fellas who had a rear light attached to his helmet? Looking to get something for commuting cause seat post mounted light doesn’t seem to be enough for most road users and I thought the light high up looked really good in the footage
Beautiful scenery and cycling. Absolutely wonderful!

Thanks ☺️
Breathtaking landscapes. Superb vidéo. Merci
Great cinematography as always Josh, nailed the atmosphere and the environment.
Thanks ☺️

Glad you like them!
Majestic part of the world to go deep
A lovely film and massive effort. Thank you for sharing 🎉
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video and enjoyed reliving it from the comfort of a fire and chair.. good meeting you on the route, thanks for letting me sleep while you packed up!!!

Good to meet you too. Although I wouldn’t say 45 minutes is much of a sleep
Absolutely great video. Such views! Certain points I wish I could be there, then the next I am so happy I'm not there😂 those hikeabikes look awful. I would have just laid down and cried. bloody well done, sir.
The hike a bikes were pretty awful
Watched a few of your videos and first time I’ve been jealous. More of the views than weather.
Thanks Josh , that was great , as always ! Thank you for letting me see these places and people , the best on both counts
My pleasure!
So many punctures! I felt for you. Great videography. I'm always amazed you film and race. Chapeau!
Glad you enjoyed it
Almost like I was there - great to watch

You do such great work telling a story Josh ❤
Thank you so much!
Mega effort Josh, it was awesome following your race! ✌
Jon said he was going to ride it next year
Fabulous, I always enjoy watching your videos, cycled Badlands this year after seeing your video. Bravo
How was it?

Some journey that Josh, another great video showing some terrific landscapes 👏👏

Brilliant video. Inspirational 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Smashing job, lads
Brilliant storytelling. 👌
Thanks ☺️
It feels like just yesterday...nicely put together!
Thank you!
amazing video Josh, so sad I missed this year as I really did enjoyed 2023 ;-) bad luck with the tyres!!
It was a great event. So stunning at this time of year in Scotland.
You are a hard bunch. Keep at it.
Congratulations. Great ride!
Thank you for bringing me back to my beloved Scotland! Great music, great atmosphere
Glad you enjoyed it
Always look forward to watching your adventures. Well done - this was tough!

Wow! Top job as usual Josh, even more impressive considering the conditions!
Also, it reminds me to buy the restrap repair kit for future trips 😂
Good call!
Well done for keeping going. Shame about the tyre issue so early on.
Very nicely narrated and the filming was spectacular! Well done! I have to ask you what type of front light you are running. A monster - does it work really well!
It’s an Exposure 6 pack. Very bright, it’s like riding during the day.
Great to see you dude 🤘
You too!

Brilliant Well done Josh I had wet feet watching your Fantastic Video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great work as usual with filming and editing 👍 do you think making a vid on repairing tubeless tyres just before this might have jinxed you??
Yeah I reckon so 😂

Hi josh,,was watching your video and you're bike torch look's a good wan , what make is it ?
It’s an Exposure 6 pack. A very good light along with the rest of their line up.
perfect
Fantastic video. Kudos. What made you decide to use the Garmin 1040 Solar over the Coros Dura cycling computer?
The Coros lasts longer but the Garmin has a bigger screen for the map. I would have been happy with either.
Great video! What jacket do you use?
It’s a Cafe du Cycliste Alizee rain jacket
Great video, although that tea @11:40 lools like diluted water!
It was hot and that’s what was needed at the time. Glad you enjoyed the video.

what are the lights you have? they look awesome
Im using an Exposure 6 pack on the front
Thank you this will be perfect for Canadian winters
I would need a bike mechanic to come along, I can't deal with inconvenience 😀
I’ll see if Nic is available
"Camille, where are you taking us?"
Do you know how to get an entry for this next year? Is there a website or anything to sign up? Thanks!

Brother you need to put some puncture liners in your tires.
Tanned side walls... 03:40....
Music is too loud when people are talking… makes it hard to understand.
How wet is an otters pocket 🤨
Pretty wet I’d say
About as much fun as trapping your gonads in a vice. I love cycling and I love Scotland, but that's just silly.
See this is why I hate cycling
Clearly wrong choice of tyres for Scottish terrain especially those WTB’s rubbish at self sealing not made for Scottish offroad anyways
Those brown or tan side is not a good choice
Fantastic, enjoyed that a lot.
