    That's amazing! The video is really vivid and talented. I must say that I've learned a lot from it.

    Attempt this video but with the laser slightly out of focus. That might net the results that you are looking for!

      I usually find that the most powerful beam is when it is fully focused. You can kind of see it in the video when I start moving the paper towel around and it raises up some that it doesn't light as quick.

      @@makeorbreakshop I agree with your statement, I don't run my lasers out of focus very often so it's more theory than anything. The idea is if the laser is slightly out of focus will increase the odds of catching thinner materials on fire, such as paper. The idea is that the laser won't pierce the paper as fast causing more heat buildup as the paper isn't being vaporized as quickly. Either way, the video did a great job highlighting the potential dangers of laser cutting. (Might test this theory although my Co2 machines are 30w and 100w)

    I have the Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro. It is on a bed of tile. I also keep a full-sized fire extinguisher near it. I very much look forward to your video on the air assist, especially if it is something I could 3D print for it.

      I'm sure you could 3D print the attachment, you'll just need a small compressor for the air!

      @@makeorbreakshop There is a guy on UA-cam who created a printable air assist for the Laser Master 2 but it won't work with the Pro 2. Unless he updated, I'll have to check.

    Great video sir! I just received my laser master 2 pro S2 (they upgraded it) and it has a flame sensor plus emergency stop. I think the laser is fixed focus now…
    I accidentally burned “Hello World” into my coffee table when I was testing it out for the first time.
    I’m looking forward to your video of what type of air assist module you’ll be using.

    You might want to test the Sculpfun S9, which is supposed to be equivalent to a 90 watt CO2 laser.

    • @1234c0le
      @1234c0le Рік тому

      It is not. Even the 40w diode lasers don't have the power of a 90w CO2.

    I buy rags that are ripped up T-shirts at the big box store. I cut them with my laser to a more manageable size. The secret is, cut them in one pass or they will catch fire and wear safety glasses because cutting white T-shirts will brighten the whole room! I'm using a Falcon 2 40 watt diode laser with air assist. The laser has fire detection.

    The major fire is when the soot gets build up in the laser module.

    If that's the most dangerous machine you have.. consider yourself lucky.. my wife likes to refer to most of my tools as "spinny blades of death"... Most don't bother or scare me.. the jointer however is terrifying, and extra precautions need to be taken.
