We need to focus on our economy first and must need to maintain a constant percentage of our GDP as military spending. In this way we will be one of the most significant power in the world.
Possibly next cold war will be between India and China

BECAUSE AMERICA WAS NOT A MILITARY POWER IN WW2
BUT AFTER THE ATTACK OF PEARL HARBOR IT CONVERTED IT'S ECONOMIC POWER TO MILITARILY POWER AND SINCE THEN AMERICA IS A SUPERPOWER.
ECONOMIC POWER IS IMPORTANT TO BE A GREAT POWER BUT TO BE A SUPERPOWER BOTH ECONOMIC POWER AND MILITARY POWER NEED TO BE BALANCED AND SHOULD BE GREAT.
Economic superpower is real power more important also military technological power is important
In my opinion, Economy. If you have enough money you can create and improve so many things not only a strong army but also your infrastructure, education, lifestyle, technology etc.
And history says that being an economic and military power is better than being just a millitary power.
But it's important to have a powerful and fully upgraded army to protect our wealth. But in order to a create and sustain such an army, we have to focus more on Economy.

Because, Technology and Intellectual knowledge are the basic ingradients in world-wide developments. People should look for energising the effort to create knowledge base culture.

economic use of resources is important.. russia is 12th largest yet has the most advanced hypersonic weapons while usa which has military spending more than next 8 still struggles.. with large economy chances of wastage is more.. america could sustain large military spending because it controlled all world trade.. and printed money all the time.. printing money without accountability is dangerous as it will lead to hyperinflation when it defaults

Stop being obsessed with 'super power' status - that is a long ways off. India should focus on developing the country, one step at a time. Be smart about progress instead of getting carried away by the term 'super power'. Improve the ecosystem within which manufacturing, innovation, job creation etc etc can all happen well. Overall quality of life of citizens should improve.
