Yeah the polls were way off in 2016. Polls were closer to actual Trump performance in 2020, by still a few points off.

Nomiki is wrong about FEMA funds to immigrants. 5 years ago FEMA was on the hot seat over money meant for disaster relief going to immigrants. What did they do? Created a new department (SPP) so it was "legal" for FEMA money to go to immigrants. Congress approved the appropriation of funds. The money was taken from the disaster relief funds and given to SPP. The money used for disaster relief was decreased.

I always take polls with a grain of salt, regardless of who is winning. Now, if the polling is this close (they tend to undercount trump voters) means trump is probably winning.

@@deadgolfer6345 Polls always mysteriously pull closer to the truth near the election. I just don't put much stock in them as they are an obvious messaging tool by whomever is conducting the poll. One the things I look for is the size and frequency of rallies. On that score Trump has consistently been so far out in front that by all rights he should be untouchable.
They tried to steal the election in 2016 and failed, then in 2020 they went so fantastically overboard that you were forced to see the steal for what it was. And it wasn't any one thing, it was a massive full spectrum attack by the Democratic base and all the way to the top. Biden in no way possible got more votes than Obama. And Harris has never gotten a single vote...
This why this time if they do it again the republic will be at serious risk of fracturing apart much more than it already is.
