55 year old woman here that just installed a hitch on my 2017 Toyota Sienna, all by myself! I did not remove the bumper, and I did not take the exhaust off the hanger. I bent the tabs down and installed the exhaust side first, and held it up with a jack while I then went to the other side, raise it up and got a bolt started. I feel like such a badass! Thank you for the video with clear instructions!
I would NOT RECOMMEND checking the tow weigjt capacity in the manual. That little book are frequently replaced w incorrect info, just plain lost, or covered in coffee stains. What i WOULD SUGGEST is to open your driver door and inside AKA the door jamb. Look for a rectangle sticker with a bunch of numbers. It can be a bit confusing but youll see it there. Usually around info for your tires. If that doesnt work (should be as thats DOT law) I highly recommend you take your vin number (also found on aforementioned sticker) and look it up from a reputable website or just call your local manufacturer stealership.
The easiest places to get the most accurate towing capacity of a given vehicle is either the most current edition of the owners manual (just do a Google search for a .pdf copy of the year/make/model vehicle). The dealership is also a great resource for that information as well. The rubber plugs need to be removed so that the hitch rests flat against the bottom of the frame rail. The plugs will interfere with this. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/etrailer/e98853.html

Any reason why you have to remove the rubber plug (located next to the factory weld nuts) if it isn't being used for anything?
