yeah theyre only that small because Bethesda couldn't make it the size they wanted on the 360 or ps3. They wanted it to release on all consoles and be playable on all consoles. The starting of the game makes no sense - it would be so easy to escape that situation as you can later escape situations just like that with ease. They wanted skyrim to be heavily populated but they just couldn't do it - so much so that they cut content such as the Cloud District, so that the Battle-Borns, Gray-Manes, Nazeem and Ahlam and cut characters (who we may never know about) were moved to other locations, like the Drunken Huntsman, which is a dumping ground for wayward NPC's whos stories were cut.
Every design choice comes with pros and cons the pro of unrealistically small settlements is you get content density. Every building you see in skyrim is a building with an interior, most npcs you see are hand created and have a place in the world.
@@amelioravictoriadionyssia3323 yeah ... not really didn't play the first 2 but since the 3rd (Morrowind) cities are ALWAYS way too small in The Elders Scroll series ... be it Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim or TESO ... so nothing to do with 360 or PS3 ...

Lovely MOC! Recently started replaying the game in VR and it has some really pretty places. Riften especially felt so nice to walk around in vr. Would love to see more Elder Scrolls MOCs from you, subbed with notifications.
As someone with thousands of hours in Skyrim, the care and attention to detail in this MOC is obvious. Very very well done, and it was great to see Skyrim in Lego form.
"I can see my house from here!" - Faendal Been spending time again in Riverwood after all these years, but now in VR with the Mad God's Overhaul. It's a whole new world, that's still Skyrim.
This is great. I love the fact he puts in that little stream before the bridge that runs off the main river. To me it's nearly as iconic as the inn because in that stream is a mudcrab that I use to level up conjuring to 100 with
Very nice build. Looks just like in the game. I like the Inn and the Mill. The river looks great with the layering of the plates and tiles. Figures look great too.
Absolutely love this, great idea, not sure why it took someone this long to do this, AMAZING. Now please do the REAL best starting town ever, Seyda Neen!
Let me guess: someone stole your brick? What is it? Dragons?! If you cause trouble in Riverwood, I will personally throw you into the dungeons of Dragonreach.

Funny how Skyrim's unrealistically small towns can make for reasonably sized but accurate mocs.

@@BDD_Builds Spectacular Riverwood build! Where is the guard's shield from? Is that a custom-printed shield?
@@ErikTheWildlifeVolunteer Thanks! The shields and minifigure stickers are custom printed by a company called "Saber-Scorpion's Lair."

I always thought the the things I liked wouldn't align.. BUT NOW THEY DID A COLLAB.
Beautiful build
God I love it
I've wanted to do the winterhold college for years but never took the time to design it
Amazing details
Honestly now i wanna see a minifig scale version of Vivec City. that would be an interesting build what with all the cantons and bridges.
that'd go hard with vertical slices, have some system so you can collapse and expand each layer of the cantons vertically.
This is amazingly awesome 😂
I finally can die happy... now i can sleep free
