There are the two guitars I've been looking at lately. Found a supplier that ships inside and from the USA so that's a plus for me. Beats big pond shipping. Anyways, im glad i saw the Multiscale! I eas eyeballing the red but the color on here is off-putting. I would've been very disappointed if it came in orange like. I prefer the brown black one. Although I'm still suckered into the chameleon finish. I prefer some of the specs on the multiscale over the r457, but the 457 has some perks too (D neck). Tough call!
Well I agree it's not an easy choice. If you go for the Multiscale-7, better take the brown black one indeed and hopefully the bridge saddles will be fine. The playability on these 2 is very different and I really want to insist on this point. The neck on the R-457 is really thinner, the size of the nut also is, when everything is wider on the Multiscale-7. Maybe that's gonna help you chose :)
@@ToroKchannel I like the flip flop blue and white on the 457 so color is good for me. As for the neck, the roasted maple is much nicer, and a thinner neck and profile would be nice. I've played a wider neck 7 string before and I didn't mind it, but a smaller wouldn't be bad either. Plus the bridge issue is a not great thing, and the 8 string pickups could be pricier later. I actually liked the cleans on the 457 better as I would probably do clean stuff with it instead of strictly metal, which the multiscale 7 definitely sounds better for. Really leaning towards the 457 despite the one piece bolt on neck! That's the only real big downside to me. Thanks!
Listening semi-blind, I think I prefer the Multiscale 7 but it seems like the quality control on the Roasted Multiscale has been more consistent. I'm left confused as which one to get :p
Not an easy choicr for sure. I really think I’ve been unlucky with my Multiscale-7 cos’ the comments on Thomann are good as far as the quality goes. If you live in the EU you can return it for free if you’re disappointed.
@@Dhrune as I said in the video, the Multiscale-7 is not a bad guitar at all and I do prefer its tone over the Roasted 457. The Multiscale 7 has a U shape neck that's not really my thing (I prefer C shape necks) but that's just me. So if you're ok with a wider nut, U shape neck and 8 strings sized soapbars - if you wanna replace them, that has to be taken into account - well yes, it's an interesting guitar.
@@ToroKchannel Thanks for the insights ! I think the 8 string soapbar pick-ups are a bit nono for me, and if I go with the 467, replacing the nut wouldn't be much of a trouble :)
Hello ToroK. Awesome track. Is that the TPB multiscale? The one on Thomman is dark red... And I would like to know if the seventh string in the R-457 ihas room to make vibratos comfortably.. Thank you
Thanks ! Yes there is an obvious difference of color between the pics on Thomann and the true color of the guitar. Their pics is old so maybe, in the beginning, this TPB multiscale was dark red... For the vibratos on the 7th string of the R-457 you should have no problem, there's room between the string and the edge of the frets.
This was a good comparison video, people that wants to buy budget Seventh string guitar will probably looking at these two guitars
Thanks !
Totally agree 👍

You're welcome :)
I just got the multiscale 7. I have big hands to compensate the extra width. I advise to lower the pickups. You'll thank me later.
BTW, thank you ToroK.
The guitars are like guitars, but the track is just a head-scratcher, very powerful)
Thanks !

@@ToroKchannel Would you then recommend the multiscale-7 overall ?

Wow, that demo track is AMAZING!! Love it. Where can I buy it?
It'd be good for u to sell the tab. Those of us new to 7 strings need exactly this kind of tab
Thanks ! Unfortunately it's not for sale anywhere, I have no plans to sell my music yet. But I will seriously consider doing it :)
as far as the tab goes, what about a tutorial video ?

@@ToroKchannel Merci beaucoup pour la réponse rapide. Je vais donc attendre que les autres modèles soient dispo. À une prochaine fois.
is the pickup size the same as the fluence fishman `? also, nice demo track, sounds a bit like amon amarth ^^
Yes, the pickups size is the same as Fushman Fluence. Thanks for the demo track, I won't deny the Amon Amarth Influence, I love this band ! ;)
