What I think is interesting is after the final drop, the instrumental begins to sing with Gumball, as it takes on the melodies of his vocals, which it didn't do at the start. This has a lot of possible implications, like the instrumental is a manifestation of the corruption, and the upbeat nature was its way of saying "it's not so bad". At the end, the instrumental takes on his melodies, showing Gumball and the corruption are becoming one. Was this intended? Of course not. But it's fun to think about.
