Love you guys, and... in Jurassic Park, the man is sitting in a Margaritaville restaurant, the man that grabs his margarita is none other than the legendary Jimmy Buffet himself.
I saw this with my dad, he really enjoyed the first movie, and he was very sick with cancer by the time the second came out, but still it's a nice memory to have now that he isn't here anymore.
I legit had this three paragraph overly long winded breakdown of this film, and I didn’t want to be that guy so I’m just gonna say art is DEFINITELY subjective. Love you guys reactions! 🤣🤣
When I saw Jaws at a drive-in in 1979, I decided that I wanted to be an ichtheologist like Matt Hooper, so I went to my local library to read up about sharks. Not only would a Megaladon be impossible to keep in captivity, their descendants, Great White sharks are not meant for captivity. An aquarium in San Francisco tried to keep a Great White, but it had to set free after a couple of days. They need to keep moving and a tank in an aquarium gives them no space. They need to keep moving so that they can breathe in the water and carbon dioxide, which they release through their gill slits.
Great Whites need to swim around constantly in order to breathe properly because their gills require constant motion to be able to filter air. This is one of the reasons you will rarely see sharks in an aquarium. In a small tank, the Great White simply can't get enough air. So if Great White can't survive in captivity, then a Meg couldn't either
Unlike Jaws, they have several sequel books to base their movies on. I think there's like 4 or 5 books. I like this one more than the 1st one. It has what every sequel should, more action, higher stakes and be fun to watch!
Lol yeah wonder if meg 3 will have Jonas as a consultant on a reality stunt show like the book. It does bring "jumping the 🦈 " a whole new meaning. They changed a ton from the books already so hard to tell if they will even use the books for the next one.
Another fun reaction! It's just a big, loud, brains-optional popcorn movie that's as entertaining as it is derivative. It reminds me of those 1970s disaster moves with an all-star cast, like "Earthquake," "The Poseidon Adventure" & "The Towering Inferno." 🦈 Other Jason Statham movies you could react to: " Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels," "Cellular," "Spy," "The Transporter," "Transporter 2," "The Bank Job" & "Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw." Loved your "Twister" reaction, too, BTW! Other movies featuring the late, great Bill Paxton you could react to: "Near Dark," "True Lies,""Tombstone ,""One False Move," "Edge of Tomorrow," Trespass" (a 1993 treasure hunt movie with Paxton & Bill Sadler as firefighters looking for gold only to be hunted by gangsters played by Ice-T & Ice Cube) & "A Simple Plan."

I know I'm a bit late seeing this comment, but I thought I would offer some info... Helicopter blades are a lot lighter than you may think. A full size blade from a helicopter like the one he's lifting (the one he's lifting is broken off) is only about 90-100 lbs. A blade from a Military Blackhawk is about 250 lbs.

Just FYI, what they came up with for Jonas to be able to walk on the ocean floor without a suit is theoretically possible. However, the pressure will react with any air at all, so no air in his lungs or sinuses. If there's even a small about of air in his lungs or sinuses, his chest or head would implode. The likelihood of being able to get all of the air completely out of your lungs is pretty low. If your lungs had no air at all in them, then they would collapse. So, interesting plot point, but it would never work, even if he was able to remove all of the air from his sinuses.
