I couldn't agree with you more about drugstore vs. high end eyeshadow. There are certainly some good drugstore palettes (Wet and Wild and some of the Elf Bite Size palettes come to mind) and I do like some Colourpop palettes and used to like some of the Bh Cosmetics palettes (before they were bought out), but overall there's nothing that quite compares to a good mid to high end eyeshadow. And I totally agree with you about how wonderful those Elf blushes are. I haven't yet tried the Elf Luminous Putty blushes, but plan to do so soon. Another great drugstore blush is the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb.
Hey Amy!! Just so you know, "white coat syndrome" is a very real thing. My Dr is actually who told me about it when I told him about the anxiety I get just knowing I have an appt coming up, and that it gets worse when I get to his office. Happens to millions of people and there's no reason to think you're wrong for getting anxious about Dr's visits :)

I’ve been absolutely obsessed with that wet n wild foundation. I’ve nearly used up the tube! I love the healthy glow it has and I agree with the uncomplicated nature of it.

I can deal with a couple little palettes for example the Maybelline City Mini palettes were some that I used before I become obsessed with Sephora shadows (that obsession is now replaced with indie brand eyeshadow). Before I knew indies were THE top tier when it came to eyeshadow products, I wore that Maybelline almost every day to work. Now I definitely don’t reach for even most of my high end palettes, let alone Maybelline but it still has a special place in my heart. I liked the city mini palettes because I felt like some shades were more sparkly than other drugstore shadow and that’s what I love. Though it does not compare in any way to my current indie loves, it was all I knew back then! The one I used until it pretty much fell apart was called Chill Brunch Neutrals. Back in 2018, I only had that, a few MAC shadows, Naked 2 (which I lost that same year), tf chocolate bar and a BH zodiac palette as my entire collection, nothing compared to how much I have now lol. The Maybelline is the oldest palette I still own. But I discovered indies last year and now have a ton more palettes and singles that are 100% what was missing in my collection. I could never go back! And I would agree that for affordable eyeshadows at drugstore pricing, Colourpop is probably the best. But since you can get some similar priced shadows from Sydney Grace or even Devinah and Terra Moons, nothing else compares! I feel so bad for the people who have no idea what they’re missing out on with indie eyeshadow, like me and how I had no idea about these brands until October of 2022. Even my most expensive palette I own, from Huda Beauty (naughty nudes) still isn’t as good as my indie stuff. It’s close, but not quite 😂
Omg I agree 100% about drugstore eyeshadows. Never tried one that was any good. Also since I have a few higher end and indie palettes, there’s just no reason for me to force myself to like drugstore eyeshadows

The new(ish) Covergirl Clean quads are really good! And the Maybelline Expert Wear quad in Sunlit Bronze is my favorite. I mostly try to avoid talc now, but I use it for occasions when I want something sparkly but more subtle.
Thanks so much for sharing your feedback on the Thread Beauty concealer! I picked up the foundation and was not impressed. Now I will pick up the Thread concealer to try when I need new concealer. As for drugstore eyeshadow palettes I have had similar results. Not pigmented enough and they do not last. Side note- I have found good results with the Hard Candy eyeshadow sticks. Similar color and performance to my Thrive cosmetics.
In terms of eyeshadows, I love alter ego for powder regular eyeshadow and moira for their pot, liquid and cream eyeshadows! They're not technically drugstore (you can find Moira in some HEB stores), but they're great affordable prices and great quality imo
Same, when it comes to eyeshadow I dont buy drugstore. I learned pretty quickly that they disappoint me. My recent foundation fav is ulta complexion crush, not sure if that's considered drugstore or not.
People love that tint. Like really love it. That is so funny though anybody that I see that does a full face of drugstore. The eyeshadow is always from colourpop I don't own stone cold Fox but I really should purchase it cremated. Is the only thing to date that I have paid full price for it was because it was the only cool toned neutral palette available besides 1 horrible rated one by revolution. I literally looked everywhere even all over eBay from China everywhere and I could not find one besides that as soon as he came out with it. I said every other company is going to create one now and they did. And no it's definitely not stupid to want privacy in your own home. I am the same way my grandmother would come over and open up all of my blinds saying to let the sunshine in and I always kept them closed and it was rather dark in my house. You kind of sound like me when I have a doctor's appointment which I have plenty having kids, It throws off my entire week and i'm just so anxious to get it over. Are you like that for only yours or your child's too?

I notice I gravitate to cool toned colors in general besides orange. Even tho warm tones compliment me. Oh okay its more about if the appts go well.. I get that. I have never had that worry but I get so much anxiety just knowing I have obligations. I work from home, my own hours and I am not a fan of a booked sced. It throws me upside down. I am so glad they went well ♡
Technically Colourpop is at target now so I would say they are now officially drugstore! ❤

UV cameras only show that there's sunscreen on the skin, it can't tell you if you applied enough, or how effective the sunscreen is.
