- Calcium silicate cement-based materials are increasing in use amongst clinicians. Recently, AH Plus Bioceramic Sealer (Dentsply), a pre-mixed tricalcium silicate cement-based sealer, was released on the market. Base on recent study(JL Sanz 2022, IEJ), AH Plus Bioceramic Sealer exhibited a significantly higher cytocompatibility and bioactive potential than the epoxy resin-based sealer AH Plus on human periodontal ligament stem cells.
This video showing non surgical root canal treatment of the maxillary first premolar with 2 canal. After cleaning & shaping, the tooth was obturated with single cone technique using AH Plus Bioceramic sealer.
Is AH plus resin based? Do we need to light cure it after the obturation? And can we clean the chamber with scaler and water, would it affect it’s setting with water since it’s resin based?

Dentsply just recently release new bioceramic sealer called AH plus bioceramic. The previous Ah Plus is resin based sealer. Im not sure why Dentsply used the word "AH plus" on their bioceramic sealer(make a bit confusing). U may find the info of the AH plus bioceramic in the Dentsply website. Ah Plys resin based sealer are not required for curing during the obturation.
I have question
How cast of this bio ceramic?
And when you finish RCT and you will fill the final restoration
What kind of layer putted between restoration and cotta percha ?
How many channels can I cover with the bioceramic ah plus?
Sir is there any working length loss, does master cone goes 1 mm short after inserting with bioceramic sealer
The root canals should be a little bit wet or not?
As far as I know It shouldnt be super dry, because the bioceramic cement needs humidity to its molecular reaction
Yes, you are right.
no you see we dont call it single cone. we use the term hydrolic condensation to make it sound fancy
😂
its not a single cone because the cone is not even necessary
@@user-qn4ii4gp3f you are right , bio ceramic make it easier, it’s almost like cheating. 👌🏻
Thank you for sharing. In which cases you cannot use bioceramic sealer?
Thanks Bilal for watching. As far as I am concerned, there is no specific contraindication to use bioceramic sealer. Perhaps in cases where patients have hypersensitivity to calcium silicate cement, which I have never encountered before. While, in a case with an open apex or wide apex, we usually use bioceramic putty or MTA/biodentine to create an apical plug.
@@afiqendo thank you 🙏
I had a root canal done in May the dentist told me I was only going to feel discomfort for a week the most and afterwards I wasn't going to feel no pain.
But I've been feeling pain on and off ever since, im in pain right now. I've been back to the dentist several times, he's checked the root canal and says there's nothing wrong he even changed the filling to a more dense one since the other one felt synced in but once again the filling he put feels synced in, when it felt dense I wasn't feeling pain, now that it feels synced again im in pain I don't even know if the filling suppose to feel like that. Last time I went 2 weeks ago again he said there's nothing wrong with the root canal, I told him I wanted the crown he said I don't need the crown but here I am with pain.
I don't know what to do.
If you're a dentist would you be kind enough to suggest to me what should I do or give me any information that might help?
Consider seeing an endodontist: An endodontist is a specialist who deals specifically with root canal treatments. If you're experiencing persistent pain, it may be beneficial to see an endodontist who has advanced expertise in this area
@@afiqendo thank you for responding my comment.
Sounds like cracked tooth syndrome. Pain on biting? Sometimes if there is a crack extending to the root surface even if the root canal is good it is destined to fail
