Neat little upgrade. A grip that fits the hands is always nice. I remember Coop used to complain about grips all the time. ASMR is an interesting format too. I’m curious how a firing demo on the range to a whispering Captain might go.
Better yet! Hunting "pings" in the style of the Crocadile Hunter!
I volunteer as tribute haha
I recently received some stuff I ordered from OOD, and I was very impressed with how much of the packaging was recyclable.
ASMR review? A fun treat!
Perfect your the only one I'd listen to in this format! Carry on good sir!
Looks like the Nerfing community has found its very own foam-flinging answer to Bob Ross... 😆
Good morning and good video
An ASMR review? Lovely!
Feels like if you don't have a NIghtingale a 2.0 is a great buy, but if you already have a 1.0 (and a fitting battery, etc.) that there's really no need to upgrade... (that seems to be largely the consensus..?)
I'd agree with that.
Iteration should really be commended. If you like the form factor of a blaster, but feel there could be improvements, it can be frustrating when the next release in the same category is completely alien, worse still if it doesn’t feel the same, especially when it comes to the specialist stuff
I bought like... 4 nightengales I think? Back when they were hard to get, gave em to my friends. But all the mags are super picky with darts to feed correctly and the youtubers of the hobby just flat out gaslighted everyone about the mags. But nonsense aside. I have a diana now, I'm probably gonna get some dart zone venoms which have slightly larger dimensions. And there's really no need for this blaster to be 4s and it doesn't even get more performance. I think this blaster is a hard pass for now. You can still easily get the original if you want it. And I'm sure they'll go on sale to clear out inventory. I think this blaster would've been more of a buy for me if it used full sized angled talons. I like to have all my mags be the same unless it's really worth it. Like my diana is select fire and 140fps, sure it's too hot for hvz, but it's perfect for everything else
@captainxavier is it just me or maybe your lighting but are those two different color oranges they've used for each version?
When the 2.0 is announced the 1.0 went on sale so I bought one a month ago. The only places I can see for the 2.0 being people with larger hands the longer grip, the 1.0 is fine for my smaller hand. The bigger battery tray being able to get a lipo and alarm in there without cramping the wires too much.
I do prefer the slanted front look of the 1.0 better and I didn't really like they made the 2.0 trigger guard non-removable and it just seems more bulkier in front
2.0 would be something on the fence maybe get later down the road but now I'm waiting for that Dart Zone Venom pistol to release
O Captain, my Captain, please considering a review for the Status Support System Picatinny rail/QD pin holster.
A what? You got a link?
There’s a second one?!? LOL
One thing I notice you fail to mention is the massive weight difference the metal rails and front piece add to the blaster in comparison to the 1.0. Feels like it doubles the weight of the blaster, although it's probably only a third extra.
It is, in fact, 50% heavier. Hadn't occurred to me to work that out. The kit on my full-auto ones are even heavier so I didn't notice.
Nice blaster! Bangarang!
DZ Venom Pro is half the price with similar performance and takes the same mags.
Indeed. I still prefer the Nightingale for a variety of reasons. But the Venom is everything they promised and more.
I love the nightingale 1.0. I see no need to get the new one. I don't like the changes to the shell anyway.
Same. I really loved the original design far more!
Never expected an upload at 1:39am, great review, captain
I did do the opening as quiet as possible so as to not wake people up.
Plus it is 10:39 here. ;P
@@CaptainXavier I live in Connecticut, so it’s probably a little bit different than Washington!
Needs more box tapping. Seems like all ASMR unboxing videos has it
Hey yeah? I'll keep that in mind next time. Thanks for the feed back!
@CaptainXavier I'm not an expert by any stretch as I tend to actively avoid ASMR videos (your's was enjoyable though) but the box tapping is an oddly satisfying sound
Thought you might like to know that, when it ccomes to performance, other reviewers have mentioned it also works with a 4s, which results in higher fips (I don't remember how much off the top of my head, though).
Thank you for your ASMR video 😄!
Captain Xavier box opening ASMR, aka, the only ASMR i will endure. Lol
Love it so much! Probably won't be picking up one but eagerly watching from the sidelines :P
Did i hear you saying that my kit should fit on the Nightingale 2.0? Or are my ears deceiving me?! 😆
I believe it will. All the screw posts appear to be in the same spots. I didn't actually try though.
@@CaptainXavier well... Just checked, but in theory yes it will fit. Screw ports are on the same place, but the body geometry is way slimmer in the back. If you want to I can make it fit for you with the existing hardware
@@Rraijjar I appreciate that, but I don't want to transfer it to the 2.0.
imagine...., Captain Xavier ASMR interrupted by TRAIN!
Oh, you think I managed to get that on the first take?
@@CaptainXavier Probably not, lol. I can only imagine how many takes it took
i got a whiteout deploy in the mail from ebay for $20, also i am thinking of getting a nightingale, any cons i should know about?(i will most likely get the semiauto one)
Honestly? Not really. They are pretty awesome.
One thing I have been told, is that the mags like the slightly shorter half darts. Apparently worker darts are one or two mil shorter than dartzone's. The extra length leads to them sometimes being a little sticky.
I do not have one, I have just heard others complaining about it.
I agree with those who say what’s the point. There’s no difference in performance, and although the longer grip and battery tray is nice, the older one looks a lot better. Especially with that rubber bumper on the new one it looks kinda weird
