    I think you just unknowingly helped me out by convincing me to buy a quick release adaptor instead of any Moza steering wheel. I'm shopping for my future setup and so far it's seems like I'm going for a Moza R9 base, quick release adaptor and the handbrake (maybe), a Fanatec h-shifter and Sim Jack pro pedals if I can't find anything else more interesting to me or the price range I'm willing to spend. Instead of a Moza steering wheel or custom steering wheel plate, I'll buy the necessary things to make a custom button box attached to the h-shifter and tinker turn signal and wiper levers to probably have more fonctions then needed for any driving/racing games I want to play. Big thanks man!!!!

      @@kennethegebakken5761 As I can read the Quick Release is compatible with all Moza bases. My answer was 8 months ago, my answer would greatly change today since I've had time to make more research.

      I'm in the process of getting a very similar setup , but at the moment i am still waiting for the simmson pro pedals to come and was wondering if you bought yours from AliExpress if they came in a timely manner? thanks

    To Everyone who says this doesnt work.. IT DOES. I bought some random wheel adapter off amazon that looked just like his; followed the video step by step and it works finally. NGL it didnt work at first for me i played with the deep dish wheel for about two weeks without the buttons from the ES wheel, but I had some time to try and look at it again its all about the angle and pos of the piece over the screw holes.. Get that right drop the screws in and ur goldn ponyboy xD. Mainly i had to get this to work for my gf the 6spd H w/ Clutch is too much for her but shes learning LoL. This saved me some money though I was gonna buy the Aftermarket wheel that fits over the buttons or get another adapter piece but its DOABLE

    I have a question, can you just install the wheel and skip the whole button box? Do you just control stuff with keyboard then or will there be conflicts inside the game?
    And also, if I do buy the QR from moza, will the button box not get in the way for most third party wheels? I mean it's nice with the buttons but it seems like the wheel need to be perfect for it to not cover over buttons or what do you think?
    Nice video, very interesting and I learnt a lot. I'm about to buy my first rig and weighing back and forth between R5 bundle (with not great pedals) to R9 and mixing and matching stuff myself. What is your opinion on R5, is it enough power or will I get bored of it fast in your opinion?
    Thanks for your help.

    Can you screw a omp wheel directly to the quick release with the adapter, but without the pedal shifters and like the plastic thing with the buttons on?

    • @RDEstevao
      @RDEstevao 8 місяців тому

      You can simply use any car wheel with any quick release compatible (70mm holes distance), like the NRG ones.
      Just screw the wheel directly to thee quick release.

    • @hdycreator
      @hdycreator  Рік тому +1

      They are. I dont use the shifter paddles too often though so it doesn't really seem to impact me as much. I did switch back to the nrg wheel. I like the feel of the real leather compared to the deep dish vinyl material. Using nrg brings paddles alot closer

    Thank you for showing us this. Do you know if it's possible to unscrew/remove the paddle shifters, so that we can attach some longer ones?

    • @hdycreator
      @hdycreator  Рік тому +3

      Yes you can remove them. If you remove the whole steering assembly, there are 2 screws holding the paddles in place. You remove the screws and they slide out. As for longer ones, I'm not too sure.

      @@MarlySchimitz do you know of any of the cheap aftermarket options that are guaranteed to fit as advertised? I'm currently in the market for one but I only want to spend between 30-40 bucks. I've seen plenty in that price range on ebay, but buying one seems like a coin flip if the manufacturer actually made it to correct spec or not. I've seen tons of online remarks noting that they bought aftermarket on ebay and it was too small, and/or the bearings weren't correctly placed
